A.J.'S STEAKHOUSE22
Hard Rock
4455 Paradise Road
Las Vegas
702-693-5000

Food Category: Steaks
Area: Southeast
Price: $20 - $30
Hours: open for dinner daily.

A.J.'s is everything you'd expect of a Western-style steakhouse: tufted leather doors, dark wood paneling, curved leather booths, hurricane lamps, pugilistic oil paintings and a bar with bronze rails and a granite countertop. The main attraction is fresh steaks, which you can view at an open cook line. The house favorites include a 12-ounce filet mignon and24-ounce porterhouse, but the best offering is the 20-ounce New York strip sirloin -- pure tender juicy meat, no bone, no fat, no gristle, crusty with a smoky, moderate char, yet tender and juicy. In a word, perfectly cooked.

My wife and I visit Las Vegas at least twice a year. We have always enjoyed AJ's. Food is excellent. Service superior. The staff always make you feel welcome. Nice atmosphere, not dark and stuffy like other steakhouses in town. We will always return to AJ's when we are in town!

The best steakhouse in Vegas - forget about Circus Circus or Binion's - The NY Strip is incredible (Better than I get in New York!), sides are fantastic, service is very good and the atmosphere is what you would expect- and you wouldn't expect- from the Hard Rock (very cool). Watch out Delmonico and others - there's a new place in town. It's actually so good that I didn't want to review it... I don't want everyone else to crowd the place>

What a sleeper of a place. The Rat Pack would have hung out here if they were still here. Sixties setting atmosphere, piano bar, great food, and a warm upscale comfort feeling. Service was very good and hte hostess had a bottom that would'nt quit. Dynamite place to take a date to. This place is warm, comfortable upscale, not stuffy upscale. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
