Little Theatre previews 2014-15 plays

Previews of coming attractions may be a movie-theater staple, but for the live stage, they’re the exception rather than the rule.

Except at Las Vegas Little Theatre, which will offer free previews of its 2014-15 season this weekend.

Local actors will read selections from LVLT’s Mainstage and Black Box seasons, enabling audiences to choose from among the shows — or opt for season tickets. (There’s also a Flex Pass option for those who aren’t sure when they can attend.)

Among LVLT’s Mainstage offerings: Christopher Durang’s Tony-winning comedy “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” Peter Shaffer’s Tony-winning “Amadeus” (the inspiration for the Oscar-winning screen adaptation) and Neil Simon’s “Rumors,” along with “Mrs. Mannerly,” “The Lady in Question” and “All New People.”

Fischer Black Box season readings feature “Boston Marriage,” “Den of Thieves,” “The Little Dog Laughed” and “Eastern Standard”

LVLT will present its free season previews at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 3920 Schiff Drive. For more information, call 702-362-7996 or visit www.LVLT.org.
