First Friday
First Friday is an arts, entertainment and social block party on the first Friday of each month in the Las Vegas Arts District. It is a showcase of local art and Las Vegas' downtown cultural scene.
Activities also are scheduled at the Arts Factory, S2 Art, Nevada Arts Council and other nearby facilities. Information: 384-0092.
Free maps and event listings are available at The Funk House, 1228 S. Casino Center Drive (one block east of Main and two blocks south of Charleston) and the Arts Factory, 101-109 E. Charleston Blvd.
Time: 6-10 p.m., with some entertainment continuing after 10.
Location: 1 mile block around Charleston Boulevard and Casino Center in downtown Las Vegas. CAT shuttles will provide free rides around the area. Maps available at all First Friday venues.
