Beyonce at Encore: Small show, big money

For anyone "Crazy in Love" with pop star Beyonce, you'd better be prepared to cough up some crazy dough to see her when she hits the Encore Theater for a spate of shows beginning in late July.

Ending her upcoming "I Am...Sascha Fierce" North American trek with four shows at the intimate, 1,500-seat room, the concerts will take place July 30-Aug. 2 in the smallest venue of the tour. They will be specially titled "I Am...Yours."

Previously, Beyonce has performed at the 16,000-plus capacity MGM Grand Garden arena. She sold out the venue in one day for a show in August of 2007. Four months later, she packed the 12,000-seat Mandalay Bay Events Center.

To see Beyonce perform in a mid-sized theater is a rare occasion, and of course, it will cost a premium.

Tickets are $250, $500, $750 and $1,000, plus service charge and tax, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. They will be available by calling 770-3482, and will be sold as part of a room, with a limited number of ticket-only reservations available.

Two tickets may be purchased per order.
