Music and food lovers will have the chance to gorge themselves on a smorgasbord of options at this year's Bite of Las Vegas festival Saturday.
The festival, sponsored by KMXB-FM, 94.1 and Wells Fargo, is in its 14th year and will be at Desert Breeze Park at Spring Mountain Road and Durango Drive.
Guests will have 12 hours to partake of music from entertainers such as Switchfoot, Plain White T's, Sara Bareillis, Ryan Star and Christina Perri. Performers from local shows also will give attendees a sampling from their productions.
Miranda Cosgrove, the star of Nickelodeon's "iCarly," will serve as host of the festival, and will have a special autograph session during the day.
This year's event features a kids' area with carnival rides and games, says Bite spokeswoman Stacie Schmidt. Adults can watch chefs cook on the Culinary Institute Cooking Stage.
More than 40 local restaurants -- Stripburger, Atomic #7 ice cream, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Ricardo's and H&H Barbecue, among others -- will be on hand, providing guests with the chance to sample a wide range of food representing the Vegas culinary scene.
Portions are priced at $1 to $5 each. Barbecue, Hawaiian food, pizza, Mexican food, ice cream and burgers also will be served.
Admission costs $9; children 5 and younger get in free. Visitors can get a $1 off admission by donating a canned food item at the door. The donations will go to the City Mission of Las Vegas.
