Bunnies to help Hef celebrate birthday

Bunnies galore will be running around the Palms this weekend.

But we're not talking about the furry, little creatures in the spotlight during Easter festivities.

No, these "bunnies" are of the blond, brunette type as an array of beauties come to Las Vegas to help Playboy founder Hugh Hefner celebrate an early 82nd birthday.

The highlight of the events comes Saturday when girlfriends Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, stars of the reality TV show "The Girls Next Door," host the magazine mogul's party at the Playboy Club and Moon nightclub inside the Palms.

Sunday probably will be just as scintillating as Sara Jean Underwood -- Playboy's 2007 Playmate of the Year -- hosts her 23rd birthday party as part of the "After Dark" soiree at the Playboy Club and Moon.

The event, billed "The Big Sleepover," will feature fantasy suite after-parties, a Playmate pillow fight and DJ Graham Funke working the turntables inside the Playboy Club.

Doors open at 10 p.m. both nights at both venues. For room reservations, call 942-7064.

Model Guerra hosts birthday bash at Pure -- Cuban beauty Vida Guerra celebrates her 34th birthday as host of the evening's festivities tonight at Pure inside Caesars Palace.

Guerra will host the Sheiki Jeans Fashion Showcase with shoes by Francesco Sacco. Doors open at 10 p.m. at Pure. For table reservations, call 289-2002.

Syrup bikini contest continues -- The weekly Syrup Swimwear bikini competition and calendar model search continues tonight at the Hawaiian Tropic Zone inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.

Bikini contestants compete for $1,500 in prizes, with the overall winner at the end of the competition taking home the $25,000 grand prize. The event features an open bar from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m., with DJ Direct featured on the turntables.

Tempo Lounge hosts new Thursday party -- Partygoers looking for something different got their first chance to check out the "Group Therapy" party Thursday at the Las Vegas Hilton.

The new weekly event made its debut at the resort's Tempo Lounge, running from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. There are drink specials, table game drawings for cash prizes and live jazz music by Nova.
