Caesars Palace lavished lucky guest Tianshu Sun with spa treatments, free food and a two-night stay in the hotel, all for eating at the buffet. Sun was the 1 millionth guest to dine at the Bacchanal buffet. The buffet, which celebrates its one-year anniversary Tuesday, averages more than 3,000 diners a day.
The president of Caesars Palace greeted Sun in front of the buffet. Sun receives two nights at Caesars Palace, spa treatments at Qua Bath & Spa and, most important, unlimited, free, VIP access to Bacchanal through her stay.
The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace will hold its inaugural Festival of Fashion today and Saturday.
The festival will be filled with roving Roman characters, fashion shows, prize giveaways and interactive events. The Fountain of the Gods will be the site of a fashion shoot while beauty experts will do your makeup at Dior Beauty and Sephora.
Participants can then get their photos taken by “paparazzi.” A DJ will spin music in front of the Fortuna Terrace from 7 to 10 p.m. today and from 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Four $500 gift cards will be awarded; guests can register for the giveaway near the Atlantis Fountain in the Great Roman Hall today or Saturday between 10 a.m. to midnight. For more information, visit the Forum Shops Facebook page, facebook.com/ForumShops.
Start practicing your best pirate accent.
On Sept. 19, National Talk Like a Pirate Day, Krispy Kreme at Castle Walk Food Court in Excalibur will give away doughnuts to land lubbers who sound like pirates.
Can you say, “Blimey! Shiver me timbers!”? Then you’ll get a free glazed doughnut. If you add a pirate costume, that will earn you one dozen free glazed doughnuts.
