The Venetian

March 12: Liam the Leprechaun will kick off theSt. Patrick's Day celebration with an inaugural gondola ride leading a parade of gondoliers adorned in green sashes, scarves, ribbons, and shamrocks. In addition to the traditional Italian songs, gondoliers will sing Irish tunes such as My Wild Irish Rose, When Irish Eyes are Smiling, and Up Among The Heather. After one route is complete, Liam will stop on the canal in St. Mark's Square and spin his boat around in circles as he throws magic gold confetti into the air officially opening the lucky green canal for riders.

March 17: Liam returns on St. Patrick's Day for a second parade on the green canal. Once Liam works his 'magic,' he will exit the gondola and retreat through The Grand Canal Shoppes from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Any guest that is lucky enough to find Liam, must say to him, "Luck o' the Irish" and he will reach into his pot of gold and hand over a prize. Guests may receive anything from chocolate gold coins to a free gondola ride on the lucky green Grand Canal.

Guests over the age of 21 who purchase a gondola ride March 12-18, may redeem their ticket stub at the Mercato store inside The Grand Canal Shoppes for a bottle of Guinness. The cost of a gondola ride is $16 per person (max of 4 people) or $64 for a private, two-passenger ride. Hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday 10:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-12 midnight. Tickets may be purchased at Emporio d'Gondola ticket office, located next to Godiva Chocolatier in The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian.

43rd annual St. Patrick's Parade & Carnival
When: March 12-15
Where: downtown Henderson and Henderson Events Plaza

Thousands of spectators are expected to line the streets of Henderson for the annual parade at 10 a.m. March 14, which features floats, dignataries, and marching bands. The parade starts at Ocean Road, heads down Water Street, and proceeds to Victory Road. In addition to the parade, there will be a carnival midway, food booths and souvenir/merchandise vendors at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, March 12-15. Hours for the carnival are 5-10 p.m. March 12 and 13; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 14; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 15.

Village Craft Beer Festival
When: 3-7 p.m. March 14
Where: The Village (MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas, 15 Costa di Lago, Henderson)
Tickets: $20 general admission
The beer festival will feature live entertainment by The Wedge Brothers. Proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southern Nevada.

St. Patrick's Day Celebration at Auld Dubliner
When: 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. March 17
Where: The Village (MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas, 15 Costa di Lago, Henderson)
Finnegan's Wake takes over Auld Dubliner for an evening of entertainment featuring their unique blend of traditional Irish music and rock 'n roll. The pub and restaurant is located inside MonteLago Village and will feature food specials, raffles, an appearance by the Guinness Girls and everyone's favorite recreational game -- beer pong.

New York-New York's Celtic Feis Celebration
When: March 14-17

New York-New York's annual Celtic Feis will feature a variety of entertaiment over four days.

The Nine Fine Irishmen Pub's regular menu will be available from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. March 14-16 and St. Patrick's Day specialties will be featured 11 a.m.-9 p.m. March 17.

The 6th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin formation at 10 a.m. March 17 inside Coyote Ugly. At 10:50 a.m., it will make its way through New York-New York ending at the main Celtic Feis stage on the Brooklyn Bridge. At that time, New York-New York will honor the nine new inductees into their Wall of Fine.

Tickets: Three-day tickets is available for $25 per person and includes up to three complimentary draft beers. Tickets for St. Patrick's Day start at $20. Tickets may be purchased at Zumanity Box Office.

Restrictions: All ages before 5 p.m. on March 15 and 16 and 21 and over after 5 p.m. except if they are dining at a table inside the Pub with family. Guests must be 21 or older to attend on March 16 and 17.

All-Day Block Party at O'Sheas
When: Starts at noon March 17
Where: O'Sheas casino and alleyway adjacent to O'Sheas

The all-day block party at O'Sheas will include a live DJ from noon to 2 p.m.; live band from 2 p.m. until midnight; beer pong tables from noon to midnight; ongoing street contests and roaming leprechaun. Redhead ladies drink free green beer all day. Specials include $3 12 oz. green beer; $4 12 oz. Guinness; $4 16 oz. Miller bottles; $5 12 oz. Red Bull vodka; and $15 for a 60 oz. Miller.

Also, in honor of St. Patrick's Day, the Mayor will bestow "Lucky" (a little person in full leprechaun garb) a key to the city. Goodman will also declare O'Sheas the luckiest place in Las Vegas on St. Patrick's Day. Goodman will be flanked by showgirls and will invite all redhead ladies to O'Sheas' St. Patty's Day block party for free green beer.

5th annual St. Paddy's Day Celebration at McCormick & Schmick
When: Starting at 4 p.m. March 17

McCormick and Schmick's will be offering Irish drink specials all evening featuring pints of green beer, Guinness, Bushmills and Baileys. The celebration will bring out the inner Irish in all attendees with special Irish themed menu items including corned beef and cabbage and Irish stew, in addition to the famous $1.95 bar menu. The revelry continues throughout the night with a live DJ.

The restaurant will also fete the city's cab drivers by offering a complimentary buffet breakfast complete with green eggs and ham and Lucky Charms cereal between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. to cab drivers. The first 20 non-cab drivers dressed in green to arrive at the restaurant during that hour will also be given a complimentary breakfast. In addition, cab drivers can stop by the restaurant anytime before 5 p.m. and pick up a special gift certificate. Each cab driver with a valid a TA card will be given one certificate while supplies last.

Mandalay Bay

St. Patrick's Day Festivities at Fremont Street Experience
When: March 17

St. Patrick's Day at the Fremont Street Experience brings free concerts with Whiskey Galore, Tempest and Celtic and Irish Performers on Tuesday, March 17. The performance schedule is as follows: Tempest, 8-11 pm, 1st Street Stage; Whiskey Galore, 8-11pm, 3rd Street Stage; Celtic and Irish Performers 8-11pm, Main Street Stage.

In addition to live entertainment, Fitzgerald's will be hosting "Shamrock & Roll 2009" with green beer on tap, Irish coffee and signature Irish specials. At 5pm on the 3rd Street Stage, the Fitz will have three exciting contests including a Leprechaun Look-A-Like, Green Jello Eating Contest and an Irish Jig Off.

Vegas4Local's St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl
When: 5 p.m. to midnight March 17

Vegas4Locals.com will host a pub crawl on St. Patrick's Day in downtown Las Vegas. Only guests who have RSVPd will receive a wristband. Free admission to Hennessey's Irish Tavern, Mickie Finnz, Brass the Lounge & Las Vegas Country Saloon. Drink specials include Golden Gate - $3 Greenaritas in a Souvenir Glass available only inside at the Casino Long Bar; Plaza/Vegas Club - $2 Apple Pucker shots, $2 Crown Royal shots, $2 beers, $2 Tommy Bahama Rum shots; Binion's/ Four Queens - Irish Car Bomb (Stout beer, Irish Whiskey & Irish Cream) for only $4 at Four Queens Chicago Brewing Company and also at Binion's Benny's Bullpen. 50 oz. football green beer at the FSE bars at both properties for $6.50, Fitz - $2 Shot of Irish Whiskey and a souvenir shot glass in the Vue Bar. Ovation Lounge at Green Valley Ranch

What: Beer Pong Tournament beginning at 6 p.m. (registration begins at 5 -- preregistration available now) and live entertainment by Sin City Sinners from 9 p.m. to midnight.

The Beer Pong tournament inside Ovation will hold 64 teams, with two players per team. The cost to register is $25 and includes beer for the competition: 1st place team gets $1,000; 2nd place team gets a Nintendo Wii; and 3rd place team gets four tickets to the 3 Doors Down concert at GVR on April 3.

Also, drinks purchased at Ovation, Drop Bar and the Sports Book on March 17 earns one ticket for a raffle for a trip to Ireland. The raffle will take place at 10 p.m. inside Quinn's Irish Pub.
