Perhaps you've seen the site that spotlights the people of Wal-Mart? At wafflepeople.com, the spotlight is turned to the people of Waffle House. However, this site doesn't come off near as mocking as the Wal-Mart version. Instead, the pictures -- some of which are almost artistic -- seem to offer a slice of Americana.

There's no telling why quizipedia. appspot.com is so addictive, but lo, it is. Click the start button and a snippet of a Wikipedia entry (missing one key word) is displayed. Click on the word from the list at the right that you think it is. Get it wrong, and the game's over.

Times are tight and the holidays are coming. If you're a little crafty and want to create gifts for less, check out dollarstore crafts.com. Many ideas are offered, all using items from a dollar store. Many cost $1 to make, some cost $5 to make and a select few cost $10 to make.
