Amy Adams gives up first-class seat for soldier

A soldier was in for a surprise on Friday when he boarded a plane from Detroit to Los Angeles and headed for his seat in coach.

Actress Amy Adams had noticed the soldier standing in uniform at the gate and privately asked to trade seats with him, according to ABC News.

The flight attendant led the man to Adams’ seat in first class, and the soldier met Adams briefly by the cockpit.

“Just saw actress Amy Adams do something incredibly classy. She gave her 1st class seat to an American soldier. I’m an even bigger fan now,” tweeted Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN2’s “Numbers Never Lie.”
