Massive music festival Coachella has released its 2015 lineup, but even if you’re not making the 275 mile drive to Indio, Calif., where it’s held, there’s plenty of local relevance to the announcement.
Every year, a number of bands playing Coachella come to Las Vegas for shows before or after the fest, which takes place April 10-12 and 17-19.
In 2014, for instance, Coachella performers such as Lorde, Foster the People, Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding, Haim, Motorhead, Empire of the Sun and Bryan Ferry — to name but a few — also played here around the time of the festival.
Coachella’s 2015 lineup is topped by headliners AC/DC, Drake and Jack White, who performs at Brooklyn Bowl on Feb. 4.
Other acts include Tame Impala, Interpol, Steely Dan, Alabama Shakes, The Weeknd, alt-J, Belle and Sebastian, Florence and the Machine, St. Vincent and many others. (Tickets go on sale at noon Wednesday. For the full lineup, visit www.coachella.com.)
Undoubtedly, some of those acts will also come here.
