The newest location of Hash House a Go Go, at the Rio, is sponsoring a pancake challenge among entertainers at the resort. The pancakes will be offered at all four valley locations of Hash House a Go Go through March 31 for $11.99 per plate. The designated charity of the team whose pancakes sell the most will get $1 for each of the three celebrity pancakes sold. The pancakes, celebrities and charities are Penncakes & Teller (Penn & Teller), soft and custardy orange-juice pancake with yogurt tang, for Opportunity Village; Mint Chocolate Chippendale (The Chippendales), with mint chips, green M&M and sprinkles, for the American Cancer Society; and X Rocks Rockstar (X Rocks), a red pancake with whipped cream and edible glitter, for Fight MSA. …

Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants in Southern Nevada have designated March as their fourth annual Month of Giving. During the month, customers can make a donation to Safe Nest at any Jersey Mike’s; on March 26, the restaurants will donate 100 percent of the day’s sales to Safe Nest. …

A tapping party to celebrate the release of Gordon Biersch Brewer’s Select is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday at the company’s brewery restaurants at 3987 Paradise Road and 750 S. Rampart Blvd. The restaurants also have introduced a new starter, Porter Meatballs, and three new entrees, Redwood Porter Chicken, Rancher’s Bison Burger and Herb Mahi, and are featuring the popular Lobster & Shrimp Mac ‘n Cheese. …
