Firefly closes doors of Sahara location for good

Firefly Tapas Kitchen & Bar is closing another one of its locations on Sunday.

The restaurant on 9560 W. Sahara Avenue is closing its doors, leaving only one location left on 3824 Paradise Road.

Firefly released the following statement on their Facebook page Sunday morning:

“It is with great sadness that we report today will be our last day of service at the West Sahara Firefly*. In an effort to continue revamping our operations and focus our full energy on delivering a safe, consistent, quality and fun dining experience to our loyal fans, it is necessary for is to downsize our operations. We cannot say enough about the efforts of the new management and staff at this location. We will do our absolute best to rehire as many employees as possible at our Paradise location.

We are grateful for your patronage and we hope to see you again at our Paradise location.”

The restaurant just closed their Henderson location back in April for reasons to focus on their Paradise Road location and the now closed, West Sahara Avenue location. The Henderson location received 38 demerits from the Southern Nevada Health District just a month before its closure. The press release on why they decided to close their Henderson location also included that they were working on a new restaurant, Imperial Tacos & Beer, located at 3900 Paradise Road.

Firefly was linked to a salmonella outbreak that affected nearly 300 people in April 2013.
