“Chippendales: The Show”
Hometown: Melbourne, Australia
Has been with Las Vegas’ Chippendales cast for just more than four months. … Childhood career ambition: to be a veterinarian (until his mom noted that vets sometimes have to put animals down, too). … Started swimming competitively about age 13 and was nationally ranked by age 17. … Worked in the retail and the travel industries after high school. … Dancing at a club (“I may have had a few beers at the time”), he caught the eye of an agent. … Modeled around the world for Gucci and others. … Decided at age 25 to give a career in dance a serious try. … Performed on a cruise ship, then toured in a series of musicals, including “Priscilla Queen of the Desert,” “Chicago,” “The Boy From Oz,” “The Rocky Horror Show” (as Rocky) and “Anything Goes.” … Says his dad and sister are the singers in the family (“I blend really well into the chorus, but I’m definitely not a soloist”). … Also has worked as a personal trainer. … Possible future career: entertainment reporting.
On learning to dance as a teenager:
“We used to have what was called Video Hits — it was like MTV — and I would get up in the morning and record my favorite clips and I’d study what they would do. (Laughs) It was embarrassing at the time. I’d run back to my room, and what they did on TV I kind of taught myself. … Oddly enough, even now, the way I learn how to do everything is, I start watching someone do something and then, ‘OK, go …’ ”
