On learning about casting early in life:
“My mom wanted us to be cultured, so she took us — and this is maybe third grade — to an audition for the musical “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” They needed someone to read for the role of the mother, who was the star of the play, and my mom was like, ‘Oh, yeah, I’ll read just to get my kids in the show.’ She ended up getting the lead role in the show, and my sister and I were like little bit characters here and there (laughs). But that’s how it all began.”
