Gottfried back with dirty jokes, napkins

He's back, just because you can't get enough dirty jokes and riffs on "Planet of the Apes."

"People are laughing, but then they'll turn to the people they're sitting next to and go, 'Who's he talking about?' And the people who do get the references appreciate it even more," comedian Gilbert Gottfried noted recently of his affinity for keeping Bela Lugosi and much more obscure moving-picture stars alive.

The squawking comedian also can do things with cups, cocktail napkins and masking tape that should make Carrot Top envious.

Tickets are $49.94-$82.94 for shows at 10 p.m. today through Sunday and Wednesday through Feb. 27 in the Shimmer Cabaret at the Las Vegas Hilton, 3000 Paradise Road; call 732-5755.
