South Point awarding prize pumpkins

With Halloween comes the annual South Point "Pumpkin Patch Pick." On Wednesday and Oct. 31, the casino will draw the names of 15 winners (who must be present) to choose the pumpkin of their choice and win $2,500 to $10,000. All members of The Club receive two entries daily when they swipe their cards, and every hour, one entry will be awarded to all players who have their cards inserted. Bingo players will receive two entries at every bingo session.

Fitzgeralds' "Fitz Full of Dollars $100,000 Free Play Giveaway" is happening every day through Jan. 2. Every hour from 1 to 10 p.m., "Hot Seat Sally" will tap a player (who is using his Club Fitz card) to select an envelope from her basket. Prizes include machine play or a coupon you can use at table games.

Orleans players earning 500 Club Coast points ($500 coin-out; no point redemption required) on Wednesday and Oct. 31 will receive a French Market Buffet voucher. Also, the casino is awarding gifts at the end of the month to players earning the following: 15,000 point earners (no point redemption required) receive a portable CD player, 30,000 points earns a CD/clock radio (in addition to the 15,000-point prize), 60,000 points earns a digital camera, and those accumulating 100,000 points receive a portable DVD player.

The "Keys to Cash" promotion at the Vegas Club has been extended through Oct. 31. Players hitting a $200-plus jackpot get to select a key from a selection of 100. If the key opens the prize box, you win a minimum of $1,000, and that increases by $100 if no one selected the winning key the previous day.

The Las Vegas Hilton has closed its poker room.

Correction: The Suncoast promotion giving Club Coast members a 50 percent discount when they pay for their meals with points is running on Saturdays and Sundays, not Fridays and Saturdays.
