Station, Fiesta promotion giving away $1,000 every 10 minutes

From 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Feb. 14, all eight Station Casinos and two Fiestas will award $1,000 every 10 minutes to a randomly selected player using his Boarding Pass (or Amigo Club) card. On those same nights, one $50,000 prize (among all 10 casinos) will be awarded. Entries can be earned every day at slots, tables, poker and bingo, and players must be present at the 9:15 p.m. drawings to win.

Today only, The Orleans is giving away fleece vests, jackets, long-sleeve T-shirts and sweatshirts (player's choice of one time only) to Club Coast members earning 500 or 1,000 points ($500 or $1,000 coin-in; no point redemption required). On Saturday, all Cannery players earning 999 points ($333 coin-in on slots, $500 coin-in on video poker) can pick up a zip-up hoodie. There is a limit of one gift per customer in both promotions.

Players earning 999 points ($333 coin-in on slots, $500 coin-in on video poker) this Monday or Thursday at the Eastside Cannery will receive a trinket box containing up to $1,000 cash.

New Riviera players club sign-ups showing a players card from Treasure Island, New York-New York, Bally's, Flamingo Las Vegas, Las Vegas Hilton, Circus Circus, Stratosphere, Sahara, Harrah's Las Vegas or Monte Carlo will receive a free breakfast or lunch buffet.

Every Thursday in February, Rampart players earning 250 points ($500 coin-in on slots, $1,000 coin-in on video poker; no point redemption necessary) will receive a free lunch buffet. Those earning 400 points will get a free dinner buffet. On Feb. 24, the casino will have a "$15,000 Table Game Giveaway" drawing in the pit. Sixteen winners (who must be present) will receive $500-$5,000 in cash. Table players can begin earning entries this Sunday.

The El Cortez is giving away a custom-made 2008 Smart Car on March 28. Colored turquoise to match the recently completed Cabana Suites (formerly the Ogden House), the car touts a one-of-a-kind hood emblem made out of Swarovski crystals. Club Cortez members can earn tickets to win the car Sunday through March 25. Nineteen other winners (who must be present) will receive $100-$250 in free slot play or $500-$1,000 in cash.

The South Point is offering another semester of Bob Dancer's video poker classes on Tuesdays next week through April 7. Most weeks, there will be a beginner's class from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and an intermediate class from 3 to 4 p.m. All classes are free and take place in the showroom. The subject for this Tuesday's class will be "9/6 Jacks or Better."
