Las Vegas magician makes ‘America’s Got Talent’ finals

So the lucky little dragon heads into his final showdown with The Regurgitator.

The Las Vegas-based comedy magician Piff the Magic Dragon made the Top 10 cut on "America's Got Talent" Wednesday, putting him into the NBC talent show's final showdown on Tuesday.

America then votes for its winner, who will be announced in the results show on Wednesday.
We'll see how the dour Piff (John van der Put), who never breaks his perturbed character, fares in the viewer voting. He already got away
with sending home a cute 13-year-old mariachi singer (Alondra Santos) but now has to go up against The Regurgitator, who barfs up billiard
balls and sharp objects.
The top winner gets a $1 million prize, and most of the Top 10 finalists will play Oct. 22-24 in the upstairs theater at Planet Hollywood Resort. (Another batch of winners will be on tour with the road show "America's Got Talent Live!")
Fortune has changed for Piff since the British entertainer was stranded in Las Vegas after last summer's abrupt closure of "Vegas Nocturne" at the Cosmopolitan.
He spent part of this summer performing in "X Comedy" at the Flamingo, where he plans to return for at least two more weeks this month, regardless of whether he wins or loses on "Talent."
He spent the month of August performing at the Fringe festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, selling out all of his performances in a 250-seat theater.
Speaking from New York last week, Piff wasn't worried about the ability to deliver on the magic front.
"If I make it through I've got my favorite ever trick planned for the finals," he said. "The good thing is I've done five separate hour-long
shows over the years, and I've got five 'closers' (big finales) over the years from that."
He was a bit worried about Heidi Klum, one of the four celebrity judges. If you watched carefully on Tuesday, a lot of his act played directly to her.
"The last time Heidi wasn't so in love with me," he said. "I'm trying to win Heidi's heart ... She's a heartbreaker."
