ABC to devote ’20/20′ episode to death of Tammy Meyers
February 4, 2016 - 1:43 pm
It's been almost one year since the "bizarre" death of Las Vegas resident Tammy Meyers captivated the nation when she was shot in the head during what was initially called a "road rage incident." With questions still surrounding the case, ABC is devoting an episode of its investigative reporting series "20/20" to the case.
Tammy Meyers was shot in the head outside of her home in Feb. 2015 as she was teaching her 15-year-old daughter, Kristal, how to drive, as it was reported by the Review-Journal.
Initially, it was believed that the shooting stemmed from an accident that occurred earlier that day involving Meyers and 19-year-old Erich Nowsch.
In the weeks following the tragedy, "the family’s narrative of what led to the shooting of Tammy Meyers has changed continually since police started investigating. And with each turn in the story, it looks less and less like a simple case of road rage."
For the first time, Kristal Meyers, Tammy's daughter who was in the car during the incident, and Khatelyn Krisztian, the close friend of the accused, Erich Nowsch, who turned him in to the police, will be interviewed for ABC's "20/20: A Dangerous Intersection."
The episode, which airs Friday at 10 p.m. PST on ABC, will address questions surrounding the shooting and examine if the incident was a result of road rage as initially reported, or if it was something else.
