SIGNINGS

Betty Bunch will sign "High Heels and Headdresses: Memoirs of a Vintage Vegas Showgirl" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.

EVENTS

Thomas Poppe, co-author of "The Code: Unlocking the Ancient Power of Your Birthday," will have a discussion, reading and book signing at 2 p.m. today at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.

The Clark County Library's "Mob Month" of events ends with "From Medellin to the Mob -- Meet Ronin of the Underworld Kenny 'Kenji' Gallo." A panel discussion will include Gallo, the author of "Breakshot," his former crime associate-turned-lawyer Ramon and his ex-wife Tabitha Stevens. Entry wristbands will be issued starting at 6 p.m. at the theater box office at 1401 E. Flamingo Road (507-3458).

Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, will host an African-American Authors Symposium featuring a book fair and panel discussion with local African-American authors at 2 p.m. Saturday (507-3458).

The Mahogany Circle Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the first Saturday of the month at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

The Sahara West Book Discussion Group meets at 5:30 p.m. the last Thursday of each month at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

The Henderson Writers Group meets at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Running Rebel Plaza, 4550 S. Maryland Parkway; and the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at Saxby's Coffee Lounge, 72 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson.

The monthly Poet's Corner is at 7:30 p.m. the third Friday of the month at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
