Vegas PBS announced Keith Kaderlik as an instructional Web designer and Learning Management System coordinator for the station’s Global Online Advanced Learning program. The program is a service of Vegas PBS’ Workforce Training and Economic Development Department, offering affordable online education designed for entry, certification and advancement in the modern workplace.

City National Bank announced the appointment of Fafie Moore, president and broker/owner of Realty Executives of Nevada, to its Southern Nevada Advisory Board in March.

The Nevada Restaurant Association’s Educational Foundation hosted the Nevada ProStart Invitational Feb. 25-26 at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Southeast Career Technical Academy’s team, whose members include Cameron Asato, Chabelis Bolano, Selena Ice, David Nead and Haylee Stephens, placed first in the restaurant management category. Winners in the individual competition categories included: Itzel Jaimes from East Career and Technical Academy for cake decorating — tiered; Carlos Pena from Southwest Career and Technical Academy for cake decorating — buttercream; and Maria Garcia Silva from Southeast Career Technical Academy for edible centerpiece. Mary Ferrari from Coronado High School was named 2015 Teacher of the Year.

The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open golf tournament named Patrick Lindsey as the tournament director. Lindsey will replace six-year tournament director Adam Sperling, who will remain with the organization as executive director. The 2015 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is planned Oct. 19-25 at TPC Summerlin.

Hutchison & Steffen announced the promotion of three new partners: Christian M. Orme, Jeffrey R. Hall, and Jacob A. Reynolds. Additionally, McDonald Carano Wilson LLP, a complex litigation, corporate and business transaction firm, announced that attorney P. Gregory Giordano has joined the its Las Vegas office as a partner.

The Las Vegas Business Academy welcomed three new members to the nonprofit’s Board of Directors: Loni Gray, national account manager of casinos at Brown-Forman; Heidi Hinkle, director of national accounts for hotels and casinos for Bacardi USA; and Chris Fava, chief executive officer of the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas.

Army Spc. Bryan L. Basil graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Basil is the son of Pamela M. St. Germain of Harrison, Tenn., and Bruce F. Basil of Las Vegas.

Air Force Airman Adrian Jacob L. Ordo graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Ordo is the son of Celerina and Mariano Ordoñez of Henderson and is a 2012 graduate of Green Valley High School.

Army Pvt. Elliott B. Rhodes graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Rhodes is the son of Maia Rhodes of North Las Vegas and is a 2014 graduate of Western High School.

Air Force Airman Wyatt C. McMurry graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. McMurry is the son of Rodney and Kimberly McMurry of Las Vegas and is a 2012 graduate of Shadow Ridge High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Aubrey R. Buis graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Buis is the daughter of Shawn M. Havens of Las Vegas.

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class June Marinette B. Canlas graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Canlas is the daughter of Armando and Carolina Canlas of Las Vegas.

Army Pvt. Elizabeth H. Dunn graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Dunn is the daughter of Marlene S. Day of Las Vegas and is a 2013 graduate of Shadow Ridge High School.

Army Pvt. Alena E. Moss graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Moss is the daughter of Kelly A. Moss of Henderson.

Alexandra H. Bartlett of Las Vegas made the fall 2014 dean’s list at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. Bartlett is a graduate of Faith Lutheran High School.

C-SPAN announced in March that Kayla Salehian, Elaina Young and Autumn Coulthard, eighth-graders at the Alexander Dawson School, were honorable mention winners in C-SPAN’s national 2015 StudentCam competition.

Air Force Airman Cameron R. Chernoff graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Chernoff is the son of Andrea R. Mickelson of Maple Valley, Wash., and Joel A. Chernoff of Las Vegas.
