Participants can bring a pre-carved or decorated pumpkin to be displayed. Awards will be given out in several categories. Stand-alone lighting is allowed.

GIVE A MEAL PROGRAM TO HELP THREE SQUARE FOOD BANK

Bank of America and Feeding America are teaming up through Dec. 31 for the Give A Meal program, a matching donation campaign to fight hunger in Southern Nevada.

The program will benefit Three Square food bank. For every $1 donated, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation will give $2.

SALVATION ARMY WOMEN’S AUXILIARY PLANS FALL LUNCHEON AND SILENT AUCTION

The Salvation Army of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Auxiliary plans its annual fall luncheon and silent auction from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at The Orleans, 4300 W. Tropicana Ave.

The fundraising event will include live music and a fashion show. Tickets are $40, with tables of 10 available for $400.

Proceeds will be used to help fund The Salvation Army Christmas Angel Program, which provides gifts annually for thousands of children who might not otherwise have a Christmas.
