GAMEWORKS TO OPEN AT TOWN SQUARE LAS VEGAS

GameWorks is scheduled to open July 31 at Town Square Las Vegas, 6587 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The venue features a 7,000-square-foot arcade game floor, eight-lane bowling alley and GameWorks’ first eSports Arena, with competitive video gaming and casual play.

The menu features American cuisine, including local favorites customized to the Las Vegas location. The 240-seat dining room opens into the arcade and also offers guests al fresco dining with a patio opening into one of Town Square’s interior plazas. The menu is set to include short ribs beer-braised in stout and served with wasabi mashed potatoes, tequila shrimp and seafood ceviche, chicken fricassee, and Triple Decker B.L.A.T. (triple-smoked bacon, fresh bibb lettuce, avocado and oven-dried tomato and housemade mayo).

A sports bar and lounge area features high-definition TVs, beer and appetizers, including chicken wings, Tex Mex Rolls and burger sliders. Happy hour specials include draft cocktails such as The Radler (Stiegl Radler Grapefruit beer, Herradura silver tequila, hand-squeezed lime juice and fresh mint) and Ultimate Orange Moscow Mule (Crabbie’s spiced orange alcoholic ginger beer, Russian Standard vodka and hand-squeezed lime juice).

BELLAGIO ANNOUNCES CULINARY CLASSROOM SCHEDULE FOR 2014

The Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom at the Bellagio, 3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has announced its schedule for 2014. The educational series includes interactive cooking classes led by executive chef Edmund Wong and his team. Each two-hour class is held in Tuscany Kitchen, a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen. Each class has a seasonal theme and features a menu created with fresh ingredients.

The third annual Downtown Brew Festival is scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. Motley Brews plans to offer more than 150 craft beers, gourmet culinary elements and musical entertainment.

Siegel’s 1941, a new 24-hour dining concept, is scheduled to open in the fall at the El Cortez, 600 E. Fremont St. The Flame Steakhouse is scheduled to close Aug. 31.
