DISTILL PLANS JOB FAIR FOR SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS LOCATION

Distill plans to host a job fair for its Southern Highlands location from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 23-25 at Remedy’s Tavern, 3265 St. Rose Parkway. The new location is set to open July 19 and positions are available for bartenders, cocktail servers, food runners, line cooks, dishwashers and doormen.

Applicants 21 or older are asked to bring a Health Card, Social Security card, driver’s license, Alcohol Awareness and Sheriff’s Card.

TROPICAL SMOOTHIE CAFE TO GIVE FREE SMOOTHIES FOR FLIP FLOP DAY

Tropical Smoothie Cafe plans to celebrate National Flip Flop Day by handing out free 24-ounce Jetty Punch smoothies from 2 to 7 p.m. June 20 to patrons wearing flip flops. Patrons are encouraged to donate during this time for Camp Sunshine, a nonprofit that offers kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families a getaway on the shores of Lake Sebago in Maine.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife plans to host a wild fish cooking class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 21 at the Technique Restaurant on the campus of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, 1451 Center Crossing Road.

SOUTH POINT RESTAURANTS ANNOUNCE JUNE DINING SPECIALS

The Coronado Cafe at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to offer graveyard specials daily from midnight to 6 a.m. through June. Biscuits and gravy is $2.95, two eggs with bacon or sausage is $3.45, steak and eggs is $4.95, pancake sandwich is $3.95, ham steak and eggs is $3.95 and a cheeseburger is $3.95. The Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom at the Bellagio, 3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has announced its schedule for 2014. The educational series includes interactive cooking classes led by executive chef Edmund Wong and his team. Each two-hour class is held in Tuscany Kitchen, a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen. Each class has a seasonal theme and features a menu created with fresh ingredients.

The schedule is: What to Eat First? The Chicken or the Egg, Aug. 27; Farm to Table, Sept. 24; Cooking with Chocolate, Oct. 1 and Harvesting Thanksgiving, Nov. 19.
