DISTILL PLANS JOB FAIR FOR SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS LOCATION

Distill plans to host a job fair for its Southern Highlands location from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 23-25 at Remedy’s Tavern, 3265 St. Rose Parkway. The new location is set to open July 19 and positions are available for bartenders, cocktail servers, food runners, line cooks, dishwashers and doormen.

Applicants 21 or older are asked to bring a Health Card, Social Security card, driver’s license, Alcohol Awareness and Sheriff’s Card.

MERCADITO OPENS IN RED ROCK RESORT

Mercadito was scheduled to open June 23 inside Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.

The menu features corn masa tortillas, five different guacamoles, three different ceviches and classic dishes such as enchiladas and chile rellenos. New items created especially for the Las Vegas location include nachos, ensalada verde and Mercadito mac and cheese.

The 5,500-square-foot restaurant seats 110 in the dining room and lounge and 47 on the outdoor patio. There’s also a bar and lounge that seats 19.

Prices range from $8 to $18 for small plates and appetizers and from $14.50 to $28 for tacos and entrees.

Hours are from 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Brunch and lunch hours are planned soon.

HENDERSON TO WELCOME LYFE KITCHEN’S FIRST NEVADA LOCATION

Lyfe Kitchen is set to open its first Nevada location in The District at Green Valley Ranch at 140 S. Green Valley Parkway, No. 142, in Henderson in July.

The name stands for Love Your Food Everyday, and the menu embraces the good food movement with a variety of healthy combinations, using local and seasonally organic ingredients whenever possible.

The Sin City Brewing Co. has opened its newest craft beer bar at Harmon Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard South. The 774-square-foot, walk-in bar features the craft beer on tap in six signature styles. It is Sin City’s first venue to serve premium cocktails.

T-BONES CHOPHOUSE PLANS WINE DINNER JUNE 26

WHISK(E)Y WEDNESDAY RETURNS TO ANDRE’S JULY 9

The next Whisk(e)y Wednesday event is planned from 7:30 to 9:30 and 10 p.m. to midnight July 9 at Andre’s inside the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

SOUTH POINT CULINARY TEAM RECEIVES AWARDS

The culinary team at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has received awards from the American Culinary Federation. Chef George Bailey was named Chef of the Year, and Garde Manger Culinarian Jessica Iannotti was named Student Culinarian of the Year.
