IMMUNIZATION CLINICS PLANNED THROUGH MAY 3

The Southern Nevada Immunization and Health Coalition plans to host no-cost immunization and health clinics during National Infant Immunization Week through May 3.

The May 2 clinic is planned from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. during a Baby Happy Hour Health Fair sponsored by Helping Kids Clinic at Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave.

The May 3 clinic is planned from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Passport to Immunizations sponsored by the Southern Nevada Health District at 330 S. Valley View Blvd.

LIBRARY TO HOST SEMINAR ON NEUROCOGNITIVE DISORDERS MAY 4

The Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is set to host a seminar regarding neurocognitive disorders from 2 to 3 p.m. May 4 at the West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd.

The talk will cover multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

HEALTH LECTURE PLANNED MAY 4

The West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd., plans to host a health lecture on acid reflux, diverticulosis, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia from 2 to 4 p.m. May 4.

Dr. Tikva Butler is set to discuss how to manage, improve and reverse these conditions with lifestyle changes and herbs.

MOTHER BABY COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUP OFFERED AT CENTENNIAL HILLS HOSPITAL

A weekly mother baby community support group is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 5, 12, 19 and 27 in conference rooms 1 and 2 at Centennial Hills Hospital, 6900 N. Durango Drive. Participants are required to bring a blanket, pillow, lunch and snacks. The free support group is to open to all mothers in Southern Nevada.

HEALTH EVENTS SET AT SOUTHWEST MEDICAL ASSOCIATES LIFESTYLE CENTER

COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR SET MAY 17 AT CENTENNIAL HILLS HOSPITAL

A free community health fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17 in the main lobby at Centennial Hills Hospital, 6900 N. Durango Drive. Activities will include free health screenings for blood pressure, bone density, glucose* and cholesterol* (*fasting recommended for accurate adults) and health education from staff, physician offices and local agencies and businesses. The fair will also feature games, raffles, prizes, face painting, balloon art and refreshments. A free gift will be given to the first 100 people.

WEST CHARLESTON LIBRARY TO HOST MEDICARE WORKSHOP

The West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd., plans to host a free Medicare workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. May 29.

The event is set to cover benefits and beneficiaries, deductibles and copays, how to file a claim, how to detect and report Medicare fraud and abuse, caregiver protection and more.
