Workshop to focus on gardening problems

Join University of Nevada Cooperative Extension March 24 for a workshop entitled Gardening in Small Places -- What Went Wrong? (and how to treat it organically).

Scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon, the class will be taught by Angela O'Callaghan. It is designed to show you how to make the most of your small space. Topics such as who's eating my plants?; Why do those leaves look the way they do?; Why can't I get tomatoes?; and garden pests will be addressed.

Class space is limited and preregistration is required. There is a $25 fee, which includes class materials.

The workshop will be held at the Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road.

Design society's St. Patrick's social to be at Ergo Bedroom

The Interior Design Society, Las Vegas Chapter, will join with Ergo Bedroom to host a social event March 16 in Ergo's showroom at the Las Vegas Design Center.

The event is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. in C-184 at the center, which is located at World Market Center Las Vegas, 495 S. Grand Central Parkway.

The social, which will have a St. Patrick's Day theme, also will allow visitors and guests to learn more about Ergo Bedroom's luxury mattress and natural sleep solutions.

Those attending are encourage to wear green. Special prizes will be awarded.
