Millennials-targeted recommendations app adds Las Vegas to coverage list

Localeur, a millennials-targeted recommendation app for restaurants and entertainment, added Las Vegas to the list of cities it covers.

In a statement, the Austin, Texas, startup said other newly added cities added include Baltimore, Detroit and Minneapolis, carrying its coverage list past the previous 20 U.S. cities.

Localeur launched during the 2013 South by Southwest music festival, and the Austininno website reported, received $1.5 million in investor capital. Localeur launched its iPhone app on 2014 and added an Android operating system app in 2015.

Localeur said it reached 1 million users in 2015; more than 80 percent of them are 18 to 35 years old. Company co-founder Joah Spearman told Austininno the site is on track gain its second 1 million users within the next seven months.

Spearman has begun a 40-city driving tour to connect with local business owners and promote the site. The itinerary on his blog says he’ll be in Las Vegas on June 4.
