1 critical after crash in central Las Vegas

A person is not expected to survive after a crash Friday in the central valley, Las Vegas police said.

Metropolitan Police Department said the two-car crash happened about 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of Desert Inn and Sandhill roads.

One person had a medical episode and wasn’t expected to live, Lt. Nate Chio said. He said there were no injuries as a result of the crash itself.

Chio said to expect road closures in the area while police investigate.
