VOLUNTEERS

     Activities assistants. To play cards, games and socialize with seniors.
      Animal adoption counselors. To counsel and assist with animal adoptions, paperwork, dealing with public.
      Bring a pet. To bring in pets to visit senior residents.
      Campaign supporters. To assist with the verification of phone numbers for campaign-related project.
      Clerical support. To assist with filing, phone calls, sorting materials, word processing and other general office duties.
      Coaches. To coach basketball for children ages 10-15.
      Data entry. To enter data regarding defendants into court computer system.
      Exhibit shop assistants. To set up and maintain displays at Lied Museum.
      Friendly visitors. To develop and provide a supportive and sharing continuing relationship with residents.
      Front-desk assistants. To assist with front-desk reception duties, including answering PBX phone system, taking messages and helping with other general office duties.
      Grant writers. To perform research and development of grant requests to assist a nonprofit agency that provides for the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and neglected exotic animals.
      Hospice workers. To visit homebound patients, provide support and companionship.
      Literacy tutors. To help adults learn to read, write and speak English.
      Maintenance assistants. To assist as needed with physical projects.
      Parenting project assistants. To assist in registering parents for classes, answer phones and give out information regarding program.
      Readers for the blind. To read material to vision-impaired employee.
      Senior center escorts. To provide information to visitors, about services and offices located in center; to escort and aid clients to correct offices.
      Senior exercise instructors. To lead low-impact exercise classes for seniors.How to help
