Washington work continues on track

      Bruce Street is reduced to one lane in each direction at Washington Avenue for continuing work on the $4 million Washington improvement project.
      Washington is also closed to traffic between Bruce and and Eastern Avenue. Owens Avenue and Bonanza Road are suggested alternate east-west routes.
      The lane restrictions on Bruce will be in effect through April 22.
      The Washington improvement project is part of Clark County Regional Flood Control District's plan to help alleviate flooding. The project began in October and is scheduled for completion this fall.
      Ten major road projects are listed on the accompanying map.

     South valley
      --Harmon Avenue from Industrial Road to Polaris Avenue: sewer line installation.
      --Las Vegas Boulevard from Oakey Boulevard to Sahara Avenue: reduced to two lanes in each direction for road improvements.
      --Las Vegas Boulevard from Warm Springs Road to Serene Avenue: road widening and storm drain installation.
      --Sunset Road from Pecos Road to Eastern Avenue: water line improvements.
      --Tropicana Avenue from Koval Lane to Wilbur Street: lane restrictions during road widening.
     North and west valley
      --Area bounded by Martin Luther King Boulevard, Rancho Drive, Charleston Boulevard and Oakey Boulevard: water line installation.
      --Buffalo Drive at Smoke Ranch Road: road improvements.
      --Craig Road from Durango Drive to Jensen Street: 1.5-mile extension of paved roadway.
      --Desert Inn Road from Valley View Boulevard to Jones Boulevard: widening roadway to three lanes in each direction.
      --Duneville Street from Pioneer Way to Cherokee Avenue: water line replacement.
      --Evans Avenue from Simmons Street to Clayton Street: water line installation.
      --Gowan Road from Simmons Street to Fort Apache Road: occasional lane restrictions during water line installation.
      --Hacienda Avenue from Buffalo Drive to Durango Drive: water line installation.
      --Interstate 15 from the U.S. Highway 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue: lane restrictions during expansion of the I-15--U.S. 95 interchange.
      --Jones Boulevard at Deer Springs Way: utility installation.

      --Lake Mead Boulevard from Las Vegas Boulevard to Civic Center Drive: street widening.
