Detectives seek help to identify assailant Las Vegas police have released a sketch of a man that stabbed and robbed a woman on Feb. 20, and detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying him. Sgt. Rocky Alby said the man attacked a woman at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Spencer Street at 11 p.m. The woman, whose age and name were not released, was cut with a gray carpet knife as she walked on Charleston. She is recovering from the wounds, Alby said. Her assailant is about 30 years old, 5-foot-5 and 160 pounds, with a thin, muscular build. He has collar-length, greasy black hair and wears a full beard with a white patch on the chin. The man was last seen wearing dark shoes, black pants and a dark, plaid shirt. He also wore a leather carpenter's belt and walked with a limp. Anyone with information on the attack may call the Las Vegas police Robbery Division at 229-3591 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
Police: Suspect told woman about slaying Shortly after Las Vegan Gloria Joanne Dugan was shot to death, the man charged in her killing had a phone conversation with a woman in Michigan about the slaying, police said. Las Vegas police have sent a detective to Detroit to investigate the report and to question witnesses, Sgt. Bill Keeton said. Keeton said evidence confirms the conversation between David Crawford, 31, of Pahrump and the unidentified woman. Crawford was charged with murder days after Dugan, 26, was found shot to death in her home near the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Warm Springs Road on March 25. Police said earlier that Dugan and Crawford were dating, and Dugan was trying to end the relationship. Shortly after the shooting, Las Vegas police asked Nye County authorities to check Crawford's Pahrump residence. They were told he had been taken to the hospital following a suicide attempt, Keeton said. Dummy dummy
