     Wanda Brown
     
     
Wanda T. Brown, 74, died Thursday.
      A retired factory laborer, she was born Dec. 22, 1922, in Jersey City, N.J., was a member of the Sand Creek Mobile Park, and an 11-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Walter of Las Vegas; sons, Kenneth of Oceanport, N.J. and Ray of West Orange, N.J.; daughter, Denise Galczynski of Jersey City; sister, Stella Lesiak of Bayonne, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 6 p.m. today followed with rosary recital in Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Viators Catholic Church with burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
     
     Loretta Clarkson
     
     
Loretta June Clarkson, 63, died Thursday.
      A cashier in the gaming industry, she was born April 3, 1934, in Everett, Wash. and was a 25-year resident of North Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Douglas of North Las Vegas; daughters, Judy Mattes and Carol, both of Las Vegas, and Linda Stang of Lovell, Wyo.; sons, Robert and Michael, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
      Private services were held. Bunkers Mortuary handled the arrangements.
     
     Douglas Diltz
     
     
Douglas B. Diltz, 78, died Thursday.
      A retired Burger King owner/operator, he was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Columbus, Ohio, was a member of Veterans Association, and a four-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Deborah of Las Vegas; daughter, Mindy of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and sister, Eleanor DeLor of Columbus.
      Services are private. Davis Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
     
     Bert Dustin
     
     
Bert T. Dustin, 81, died Thursday in a local hospital.
      A retired bus driver, he was born April 21, 1915, in Chicago, was a member of Masonic Lodge #32, Amateur Ham Radio Association, First Baptist Church of Las Vegas, and a 53-year resident of Las Vegas.
      Visitation will be noon to 7 p.m. today with services at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary-Downtown.
     
     Kataryna Jaworsky
     
     
Kataryna "Vera" Jaworsky, 69, died Friday in a local hospital.
      A homemaker, she was born May 1, 1927, in Luzk, Ukraine, was a member of Ukrainian Club of Las Vegas, and a nine-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her son, Roman; daughter, Luba Wichert, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. Monday with services at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne and burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Christopher Lee Kidd, 28, died Tuesday.
      A casino dealer, he was born April 16, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio and was a four-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his parents, Anna and Orville, both of Las Vegas; brother, Ray of Seward, Neb.; sisters, Jean Craft of Houston, and Jannie White of Abilene, Texas; grandmothers, Mildred Kidd and Theo Taylor, both of Columbus.
      Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society handled the arrangements.
     
     Edward Koenig
     
     
Edward Earl Koenig, 78, died Saturday in a local hospital.
      An airline mechanic, he was born April 26, 1918, in Pittsburgh, and was a 56-year resident of Boulder City and Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Roberta of Las Vegas; son, Gary of Denver; and three grandchildren.
      Services are private. Bunkers Mortuary handled the arrangements.
     
     Frieda Korbel
     
     
Frieda Korbel, 88, died Friday.
      A jewelry store salesperson, she was born Sept. 22, 1908, in New York and was a 21-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her son, Richard of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary followed by graveside services at 10 a.m. in Bunkers Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Marie Lopinto, 68, died Thursday in Nathan Adelson Hospice.
      A jewelry adviser, she was born Jan. 7, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y., was a member of B'Nai Brith, and a 25-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her daughters, Linda Fendzlau of Henderson and Adrienne Peterson of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.; sisters, Lucille Caputo and Kathleen Cicalo, both of Staten Island, N.Y. and Helen Esposito of Lakewood, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary-Downtown with Mass Celebration at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Annes Catholic Church and burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled the arrangements. The family requests donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Soledad "Dot" Lujan, 51, died Thursday.
      A cashier supervisor at Nellis Air Force Base Exchange, she was born March 1, 1946, in Toto, Guam and was an 11-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Francisco; son, Raymond, both of Las Vegas; daughters, Rebecca of Guam and Balbina of Las Vegas; mother, Catalina Blas; brothers, Jose Blas, Manuel Blas, Pete Blas, Tony Blas, John Blas and Hermon Blas; sisters, Terry, Annie, Rose, Tina, Cathy, and Hermina, all of Guam and Cecilia of Hawaii; and one grandchild.
      Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home with services at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church and burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Virginia A. Niebuhr, 80, died Saturday in a local hospital.
      A homemaker, she was born April 5, 1917, in Providence, R.I., was a member of Eagles Auxilary #1213, and a 30-year resident of Henderson.
      She is survived by her son, David III of Las Vegas; daughters, Virginia of Sacramento, Deborah Del Sesto of Warwick, R.I., and Jessica Sharrard of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled the arrangements.

Mercedita S. Padilla, 63, died Wednesday.
      A homemaker, she was born Sept. 24, 1933, in Bulacan, Philippines and was a 14-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Donald of Las Vegas; sons, Luis and Donaldo Jr., both of Manila, Derrick and Darius, both of Las Vegas; daughters, Marisa Onrubia of Manila, Theresa Silverio, Victoria, and Esmeralda Crame, all of Las Vegas; and 17 grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary Downtown and noon to 7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Services are private. Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled the arrangements.
     
     Emanuel Puritz
     
     
Emanuel Puritz, 79, died Thursday.
      A Navy veteran of World War II, he was born May 18, 1917, in New Brunswick, N.J., was a lab technician, a member of Jewish War Veterans, Briston-Myers and Squibb Company Retirees Club, and an eight-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Esther of Las Vegas; son, David of Albuquerque, N.M.; and brothers, Leon of Orlando, Fla., Arthur and Herbert, both of New Brunswick.
      Visitation will be 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home with burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Marjorie Catherine Querfurth, 63, died Thursday in a local hospital.
      A homemaker, she was born July 23, 1933, in Chicago and was a 19-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Joseph of Las Vegas; sons, Daniel, Patrick, Thomas and Joseph, all of Coloma, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society.

Marion Linda Staufenbeil, 83, died Friday in a local hospital.
      A homemaker, she was born Aug. 6, 1913, in Greenspond, Newfoundland, Canada, was a volunteer for Nellis Chapter of the American Red Cross, Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, member of American Poets Society, and a 27-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her brother, Maxwell Howse of New Foundland, Canada.
      Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled the arrangements. The family requests donations be made to American Red Cross.
     
     Edwin Strehlow
     
     
Edwin "Bill" Strehlow, 79, died Friday in a local convalescent hospital.
      An Air Force veteran of World War II, he was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Milwaukee, was a retired quality control engineer in the space industry, and a resident of Henderson.
      He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Henderson; sons, James of Federal Way, Wash., Thomas of Mammoth Lakes, Calif., Rev. Gary of Brookhaven, Miss. and Jerome of Gulfport, Miss.; sisters, Lillian Wilkin of Green Lake, Wis. and Ruth Kirchhoff of Oldsmar, Fla.; brother, Robert of Montello, Wis.; and nine grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 2 p.m. until services at 3 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern with burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Willie Tarbert, 85, died Friday in a local care center.
      A retired teacher, he was born Nov. 22, 1911, in Ada, Okla., was a member of Amaranth-Eastern Star, and a nine-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his son, Bill Tanner of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
      Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne.

Ronald Willis Thomas, 68, died April 5, 1997.
      A Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he was born Oct. 6, 1928, in Compton, Calif., was a baker, and an 11-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his sons, Mark Good of Texas, Randy Good of Arkansas, James of England, Ron of Las Vegas, Michael; daughter, Bonnie Good, both of Tennessee; brother, James of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.
      Visitation will be 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. Monday in American Burial & Cremation Services followed with graveside services at 11:30 a.m. in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Margaret "Peg" Wisdom, 86, died Thursday in a local convalescent hospital.
      A homemaker, she was born May 22, 1910, in Irwin, Pa. and was a nine-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Roll of Las Vegas; brother, Arthur of Lake Worth, Fla.; sister, Teen Hazuda of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and one great-grandchild.
      Services will be 6 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne with graveside services at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne handled the arrangements. The family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
