     Toastmasters
     
      The Windjammers Toastmasters meet at 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Denny's Restaurant, 3081 S. Maryland Parkway (871-7780).
      The Chatterboxes Toastmasters meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays at 1750 E. Sahara Ave. Guests are welcome (873-9035).
      The Yucca Mountaineers Toastmasters meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the Hillshire Facility, 1515 Hillshire Drive in Summerlin. Guests are welcome (295-5056).
      The Bachelors and Bachelorettes Toastmasters Club meets at 6:15 p.m. Wednesdays. The group is open to singles who are interested in improving their communication skills. Guests are welcome. Call 393-0032 for information.
      The Starmasters Toastmasters meet at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the YMCA, 4141 Meadows Lane. Guests are invited (369-1863).
      The Freetoasters Toastmasters meet at 7:30 a.m. Thursdays at 3773 Howard Hughes Parkway, Third Floor, South Tower. Visitors are welcome (893-3142).
      The Burnttoast Toastmasters Club meets at 6 p.m. Thursdays at Mable Hoggard Science Center, 950 Tonopah Way. Those who wish to improve their communication and leadership skills are invited (631-0000).
     
     NCSC meeting
     
      The National Council of Senior Citizens, Clark County Chapter 04530, will hold its next meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Guest speakers will be Nicole Kelley of the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Darcy Spears of KTNV-TV, Channel 13, and Municipal Court Judge Nancy Saitta (658-4487).
     
     Newcomers club
     
      The Westside Newcomers Club, a social group for women who have lived in the area three years or less, will hold a coffee for new and prospective members at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. (247-6256).
     
     Card club
     
      The Riviera Shark Card Club, for those age 55 years or older, meets at 11 a.m. Wednesdays. Call 453-5175 for more information.
     
     WAC veterans
     
      The Silver and Gold Chapter of the Women's Army Corps Veterans Association will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at North Las Vegas Air Terminal, 2772 N. Rancho Drive. Active and retired women of the Army, Army Reserves or National Guard are invited (255-0509).
     
     WIC meeting
     
      The National Association of Women in Construction will hold its next meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Elks Lodge, 4100 W. Charleston Blvd. The group is open to women employed in all phases of the construction industry (593-1818).
     
     Support groups
     
      Family and Child Treatment of Southern Nevada provides a support group for mothers of children who have been sexually abused. Meetings are held 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Call 258-5855 for more information.
      The Bipolar Manic-Depressive Support Group meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Nevada Association for the Handicapped, 6200 W. Oakey Blvd. Family and friends are welcome. There is no fee (870-5070).
      The Fiobromyalgia Friends Support Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Whitney Library, 5125 E. Tropicana Ave. Dr. Mervyn Willard will speak on research and double-blind studies he is conducting (263-8072).
      The Head Injury Association will hold a support group meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Nevada Association for the handicapped, 6200 W. Oakey Blvd.
      A Support group for transplant organ and tissue recipients will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium at Sunrise Hospital, 3186 S. Maryland Parkway. Family members and those awaiting transplants are invited (242-2051).
      A support group meeting for polio survivors will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the clubhouse at the Riverbend Apartments, 3937 S. Spencer St. (731-5204).
      The Southern Nevada Chapter of Us Too, a support group for those concerned with prostate cancer, will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd. (870-3663).
      Relief For Hurting Parents is a support group for those dealing with rebellious teen-agers. The group meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays at First Church of the Nazarene, 3825 Pecos/McLeod Interconnect (451-6000).
      Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will hold its next support group meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Community Counseling Center, 1120 Almond Tree Lane (438-7838).
      Gamblers Anonymous of Southern Nevada holds day and evening meetings in Las Vegas. Those with a gambling problem who want to quit may call the 24-hour hot line (385-7732) for meeting schedules or immediate help.
      Gam-Anon, a 12-step support group for family and friends of the compulsive gambler, holds meetings throughout the week. Call 731-0905 for more information.
     
     Singles groups
     
      The Funtimers, a group for singles of all ages, holds a mixer at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Roadhouse Casino, 2100 N. Boulder Highway in Henderson and 6 p.m. Fridays at The Hop, 1650 E. Tropicana. The events feature socializing, live music and dancing (387-3887).
      Dinner With Singles is a group of business and professional people who meet weekly for dinners at various restaurants. New members are welcome (226-4023).
     
     Friends of Jung
     
      The Las Vegas Friends of Jung will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at 4016 S. Rainbow Blvd. Steve Pilgrim will speak on the topic "Dreams." Cost is $7 (647-0099).
     
     Bird club
     
      The Red Rock Audubon Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sprint, 330 S. Valley View Blvd. Carolyn Titus will present "Egypt in Winter." The public is invited (453-2434).
     
     Jaycees
     
      The Las Vegas Jaycees meet at 8 p.m. Wednesdays at 1913 S. Eastern Ave. (457-8832).
     
     Home schooling
     
      Home Schools United Plus meets each Wednesday. The group offers extra curriculum, field trips and organized gatherings for those who home school. Call 225-3343 for more information.
     
     Garden club

     Scrabble club
     
      The Scrabble Club, No. 391, meets at 6 p.m. Thursdays and 1 p.m. Sundays in the cafeteria at Rehabilitation Hospital of Nevada, 1250 S. Valley View Blvd. (256-3220).
     
     DAV meeting
     
      Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 11 and Auxiliary No. 11, will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Administration-Medical Canter, 1703 W. Charleston Blvd. (878-1181).
     
     Fleet Reserve Association
     
      The Fleet Reserve Association Branch 90 and Ladies Auxiliary Unit 90 will meet on Thursday at the Las Vegas Blind Center, 1001 N. Bruce St. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with meetings to follow at 7 p.m. Active duty or retired members of the Navy, Coast Guard and Marine Corps are welcome (362-2263).
     
     Rock Art Enthusiasts

     CCNGS meeting
     
      The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Katherine Center at Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave. The topic will be "History and Visual Presentation of American Flags." Those interested in family history research are invited (225-5838).
     
     Amateur radio club

     United We Stand

     Barbershop chorus
     
      The Las Vegas Gamble-aires Men's Barbershop Chorus meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays at Christ Lutheran Church, 111 Torrey Pines Drive. Men of all ages who enjoy singing are welcome (454-7620).
     
     Outdoors group
     
      Around the Bend Friends, for people over 50 years of age who are interested in outdoor activities, will hold its next meeting Thursday. Call 256-5149 for information.
     
     CBWA meeting
     
      The Las Vegas Christian Business Women's Association will hold a breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. Friday at Denny's Restaurant, 2201 W. Sahara Ave. Kathleen Bauer will speak on "Long-Term Care." All Christian professional women are invited. Call 396-4565 for reservations.
     
     Dance
     
      The Filipino American Club of Nevada will hold a dance at 6:30 Saturday at New Manila Restaurant, 1101 E. Charleston Blvd. The event will feature a dinner buffet and music by Far East Band II. The public is invited. Call 873-0237 for ticket information.
     
     Sign Design Theatre
     
      Sign Design Theatre Company will present a musical showcase by youth sign-language performers. Shows will be at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Winchester Community Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Admission is $8. (455-8278).
     
     Auditions
