Site Map

Stuart Mixer Commercial-Oncor International and Lake Las Vegas Resort will present the Links For Life Golf Tournament on May 19, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at the SouthShore Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson.
The tournament is sponsored by Lake Las Vegas Resort, Mirage Resorts, Bank of America, Nevada Title Company and Nevada Power. It attracts more than 200 Las Vegas businessmen who come together to raise funds for a local children's charity.
The 1997 tournament will donate more than $50,000 to Child Haven, a refuge for neglected, abused and abandoned children.
New to this year's tournament will be a charity auction held directly following the event in the SouthShore clubhouse. More than 10 gift packages will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to Child Haven.
Packages include a Las Vegas dining experience, a golf getaway package, a Las Vegas golf tour, a Las Vegas Top 10 restaurant tour, a spa tour, a party tour, sports lovers package and an adventure package. In addition, a Christian Lassen painting valued at nearly $5,000 and Andre Agassi signature items also will be auctioned.
In 1996, the first Links For Life Golf Tournament raised more than $10,000.
