     Armando Benito
     
     
Armando Benito, 57, died Wednesday.
      A laborer for a linen service, he was born Nov. 10, 1939, in Espinama, Spain, and was a resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Margot; daughter, Maria Thomas; and son, Luis, all of Las Vegas; brother, Javier of Guatemala City; sister, Pilar of Santander, Spain; and three grandchildren.
      Services will be at 5 p.m. today in St. Anne's Catholic Church. Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled arrangements.
     
     Eric Brewer
     
     
Eric Jay Brewer, 34, died Monday in a local hospital.
      A manager for Petco, he was born Sept. 24, 1962, in Simi Valley, Calif., and was a two-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his father, Calvin of Memphis, Tenn.; mother, Valerie Cross of Las Vegas; brother, Jim of Houston; and sisters, Connie Perkins and Teresa, both of Canyon County, Calif.
      Services are private. Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society handled arrangements.
     
     Ross Cooke
     
     
Ross Cooke, 81, died Monday in a local hospital.
      A retired teacher at Basic High School, he was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Thomas, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Henderson. He was a Master Mason of Gem City Lodge 52, Potentate of Zelzah Temple and a member of Royal Order of Jesters.
      He is survived by his daughter, Tama Ewbank of Spencer, Ind.; son, Boris of Los Angeles; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in First Church of Religious Science. The family requests donations be made to a favorite charity.
     
     Melvin Farnsworth
     
     
Melvin Truman Farnsworth, 67, died Saturday in a local hospital.
      An Army veteran, he was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Utah and was a truck driver and a seven-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his sons, Melvin of California, Michael of Las Vegas and Rain of Indiana; eight brothers and sisters; and 12 grandchildren.
      Services are private. Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society handled arrangements.
     
     Ruth Hazard
     
     
Ruth Evaline Hazard, 89, died Monday.
      A longtime resident of Nevada, she was born June 25, 1907, in Marshall, Mich., and was the owner of Baker and Hazard, a real estate company. She was a member of the Mesquite Club and a volunteer at University Medical Center.
      Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. April 29 in Central Christian Church. Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled arrangements.
     
     William Houston
     
     
William John Houston, 58, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
      A retired dispatcher for a towing service, he was born Jan. 19, 1939, in Topeka, Kan., and was a 24-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of the Moose Lodge.
      He is survived by his son, Chris of Las Vegas; brother, Thomas of Kansas City, Mo.; and sisters, Agnes Burkin of Las Vegas, and Patricia Carey and Alexandra Terry, both of Kansas City.
      Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Burial will be at 8 a.m. April 30 in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
     
     Jim Johnson
     
     
Jim Johnson, 50, died Wednesday in Bullhead City, Ariz.
      A real estate agent, he was born Dec. 3, 1946, in San Diego and was a former 13-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Sue of Bullhead City; sons, Tim Kennedy of Boise, Idaho, and Anthony Lavorin of Las Vegas; daughters, Carol Kennedy of San Francisco, Veronica Sharp of Las Vegas and Maria Tulumello of San Diego; mother, Julia Costello of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; brothers, Walt of Garden City, Mich., Ed of El Cajon, Calif., and Steve of San Diego; sisters, Dianne Boston of El Cajon, Sandra Newcome of Choctaw, Okla., and Tracy Brailsford of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
      Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Bullhead City, under the direction of Desert Lawn Funeral Home.
     
     Larry Jones
     
     
Larry Carl Jones, 44, died April 18 in a local hospital.
      A roofer, he was born Sept. 22, 1952, in Texas and was an 18-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Bennie; sons, Larry Jr., Dion, Jamar and Gary; mother, Carrie; brother, Calvin; sisters, Dianna Smith, Veronica Smith, Christine Boyd and Nelly; and three grandchildren.
      Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 2 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
     
     Zareda Jones
     
     
Zareda Christina Jones, 74, died Monday in a local hospital.
      A showroom waitress in a hotel-casino, she was born March 13, 1923, in Bluefield, W.Va., and was a 50-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of the Culinary union.
      She is survived by her companion, Michael Godula; son, Elton; and daughter, Dianne Evans, all of Las Vegas; sisters, Peggy Clayton, Jerry Gregory and Florence Rubell, all of Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
      Services are private. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society handled arrangements.
     
     Ernest Knight
     
     
Ernest "Mickey" Knight, 63, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
      A Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War, he was born Aug. 22, 1933, in Pasadena, Calif., and was an acoustician in sound recording and a one-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Las Vegas; daughters, Margaret Lynch of California, and Missy Hutch and Melinda Gass, both of Las Vegas; son, Mark; mother, Marguerite; brother, John; and sisters, Marge McGeachy and Pam Knight-Boal, all of California; and three grandchildren.
      A rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. today in Christ the King Catholic Church, where services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home handled arrangements.
     
     Elizabeth Larrison
     
     
Elizabeth Larrison, 64, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
      A retired assistant manager in a bank, she was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Meadville, Pa., and was a 14-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Van Donald; and son, Van John, both of Las Vegas; brother, Joseph DiGregorio of Boulder City; and sister, Anna Rossi of Meadville, Pa.
      Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern, with burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
     
     Dorrie Lunsford
     
     
Dorrie E. Lunsford, 72, died Wednesday.
      A homemaker, she was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Maine and was a 25-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her son, Charles King; and one sister, both of Maine.
      Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 3 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Della Mae Manning, 79, died Monday in a local hospital.
      A notary public, she was born March 31, 1918, in West Virginia and was a seven-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Robert of Las Vegas; son, James Shupp; brother, Paul Musgrave of Glanksburg, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.
      Services are private. Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society handled arrangements.
     
     Kenneth Matheson Sr.
     
     
Kenneth Matheson Sr., 69, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
      A Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was born May 12, 1927, in Cedar City, Utah, and was the retired owner of a maintenance company and a 44-year resident of Henderson.
      He is survived by his wife, Armona; son, Ken Jr.; daughters, Katherine Grimes, Christine Grevich and Carrie; and sister, Marjean Mansoor, all of Las Vegas; brothers, Paul of Salt Lake City, Roger of Simi Valley, Calif., Gerald of LaCrosse, Wis., and Steven of Cedar City; and two grandchildren.
      Visitation will be one hour prior to services at noon Saturday in the Southpoint Ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled arrangements.
     
     Jackie Parkerson
     
     
Jackie Dwight Parkerson, 48, died Wednesday in Columbia, S.C.
      A retired Air Force veteran, he was born Feb. 3, 1949, in Trenton, Ala., and was a former resident of Las Vegas.
      There are no local immediate family survivors.
      Services will be held in Fort Oglethorp, Ga., under the direction of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home.

Tina Marie Perez, 27, died Monday.
      A homemaker, she was born Dec. 15, 1969, in Las Vegas and was a lifetime resident.
      She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Law; sons, Mario Law and Jamie Green; mother, Maria; and brother, Julio Davilla, all of Las Vegas.
      Services will be at 12:30 p.m. today in Bunkers Eden Vale Mortuary. Burial will be in Bunkers Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
     
     Nepomuceno Sanchez
     
     
Nepomuceno Sanchez, 92, died Saturday in a local care center.
      A retired foreman for the highway department, he was born Nov. 28, 1904, in Cubero, N.M., and was a 24-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his sons, Gilbert Sr. of San Fidel, N.M., and Nepo Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughters, Pablita Romero of Tampa, Fla., Adella of Las Vegas and Susan Tafoya of North Las Vegas; sister, Elesia Vallejos of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
      Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled arrangements.
     
     John St Clair
     
     
John St Clair, 70, died April 18 in a local hospital.
      An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Lancaster, Pa., and was a retired carpenter in construction and a 27-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Betty; and sons, John Jr., Eric, Randy and Bruce; all of Las Vegas; daughters, Kathy Abbott of Texas and Georgia Moore of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.
      Services are private. Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled arrangements.
     
     Angel Vargas
     
     
Angel Vargas, infant, died Wednesday.
      She was born April 11, 1997, in Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her parents, Mayra and Jorge; and brother, Jesus, all of Las Vegas; and grandparents, Jesus and Remedios, both of Michuacan, Mexico, and Alfredo and Ana, both of Las Vegas.
      Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary-Henderson, with burial in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Cody Eugene-Scott Wilson, 4, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
      He was born Dec. 18, 1992, in Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Vickie; and sisters, Danae and Sasha, all of Las Vegas; and grandparents, Gene Skinner and Evelyn Skinner, both of Baker, and Maryann Teninty of Pahrump.
      Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary-Eastern, where services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday.
