     Construction lawsuits

     Management accountants

      The Society of Women Engineers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd. Speakers include Mike Naylor, director of air pollution control for the Clark County Health District, and David James, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at UNLV, will speak.      Financial planning

      The local chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palace Station.      Child-care in homes
      The city of Las Vegas will hold a seminar on operating a licensed child-care service in your home. The seminar will be offered at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Las Vegas Johnson Community School, 340 Villa Monterey Drive. Call 229-6175.

      The Service Corps of Retired Executives Association will hold seminars in March at the Showboat on starting businesses.
