Positions available for helpers

     Activities assistants. To play cards, games and socialize with seniors.
      Animal sanctuary workers. To perform general office duties, assist with sanctuary upkeep and care and feeding of animals
      Bingo callers. To call games for seniors.
      Bring-a-pet volunteers. To take pets to visit senior residents.
      Chaperones. To work with adult rehabilitation patients.
      Court aides. To assist staff in many duties, including phone work.
      Craftsmen. To make plaques.
      Crisis hot-line workers. To answer calls from victims of domestic violence.
      Drivers. To deliver meals to homebound AIDS patients.
      Food servers. To help serve food and clean tables for homeless shelter.
      Home visitors. To assist patients and families by providing companionship and support and helping with errands.
      Intake office aides. To make copies of client verifications for social workers and make phone calls for employment verifications.
      Metro workers. Various positions available throughout the police department.
      Office assistants, receptionists. To perform data entry, filing, typing, answering phones and greeting people.
      Used bookstore workers. To sell books at used bookstore.
      Ushers. To escort patrons to their seats and ensure their safety.How to help
