Signal activated at intersection of Cheyenne, Cimarron Road

      A new traffic signal was activated Friday at the Cheyenne Avenue-Cimarron Road intersection.
      The signal, installed by the city of Las Vegas public works division, is part of the Buffalo Drive-Cheyenne Avenue improvement project. A new signal at the Summerlin Parkway-Rampart Boulevard intersection was also activated last month, and three more are scheduled for activation in the near future. A signal will be installed at the Lake Mead Drive-Del Webb Boulevard intersection, at Rampart and Del Webb, and at Vegas Drive and Rampart.

      --Harmon Avenue from Industrial Road to Polaris Avenue: sewer line installation.
      --Las Vegas Boulevard from Oakey Boulevard to Sahara Avenue: reduced to two lanes in each direction for road improvements.
      --Las Vegas Boulevard from Warm Springs Road to Serene Avenue: road widening and storm drain installation.
      --Sunset Road from Pecos Road to Eastern Avenue: water line improvements.
      --Tropicana Avenue from Koval Lane to Wilbur Street: lane restrictions during road widening.

      --Alexander Road at Rancho Road: utility installation.
      --Ann Road at Torrey Pines Drive: water line installation.
      --Area bounded by Martin Luther King Boulevard, Rancho Drive, Charleston Boulevard and Oakey Boulevard: water line installation.
      --Buffalo Drive at Del Rey Avenue: utility installation.
      --Buffalo Drive at Smoke Ranch Road: road improvements.
      --Craig Road from Durango Drive to Jensen Street: 1.5-mile extension of paved roadway.
      --Desert Inn Road from Valley View Boulevard to Jones Boulevard: widening roadway to three lanes in each direction.
