     Safety bosses
      The 1997 Southern Nevada Safety and Health Conference will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Orleans. The program is designed for managers who have responsibility for safety and health at work places. Registration starts at 7 a.m. Monday. Call Tim Jones at 388-3591.
     
     Home buying
      Consumer Credit Counseling Service and the Nevada Fair Housing Center will hold seminars on home buying this month at 3650 S. Decatur Blvd. The 12-hour class instructs attendees on ways to improve their credit history, budgeting, obtaining a mortgage, negotiating and closing and home owner's associations. One class starts at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. A two-part Saturday class will start at 8:30 a.m. April 19. Call Consumer Credit at 364-0344.
     
     Marketing
      The local chapter of the American Marketing Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Palace Station. Richard Moore, president of the Community College of Southern Nevada, will speak. Call 593-0883.
     
     Job fair
      The second annual Southern Nevada Enterprise Community Career Day and Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Westland Plaza Vons supermarket parking lot at Owens and H Streets. About 1,500 people attended last year, and 80 businesses hired workers. The fair will feature summer jobs for youths. Clark County Commission Chairwoman Yvonne Atkinson Gates, Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones and North Las Vegas Mayor James Seastrand will host the event.
     
     Networking
      The Northwest Chapter of LeTip International meets at 7:15 a.m. Tuesdays at the Original Pancake House, 4833 W. Charleston Blvd. Call Alan Huss at 655-5366.
      The Lower East Side Chapter of Business Network International meets at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at the IHOP restaurant at Tropicana Avenue and Pecos Road. Call Lee Abraham at 892-0874.
      The Business Referral Group meets at 7 a.m. Tuesdays at Bugsy's Restaurant, 6145 W. Sahara Ave. There are no fees. Call Bob Savera at 255-1414.
