Actress Ann-Margret Ñ who has made more than 43 films, including "Viva Las Vegas" with Elvis Presley Ñ sits atop her 1953 Harley-Davidson Spider Bike during Tuesday's groundbreaking ceremony for the Harley-Davidson Cafe to be built on the Strip at Harmon Avenue. The actress donated the motorcycle to the restaurant. The 20,000-square-foot restaurant is scheduled to open possibly by early September. It will be home to the largest collection of Harley-Davidson memorabilia in the world, including famous bikes such as "Captain America" from the movie "Easy Rider."

Harris' New Jersey lawyer wants tapes

The New Jersey lawyer for convicted slot cheat Ron Harris said Tuesday he may file a motion in Nevada courts seeking the release of six videotaped interviews Harris made with Nevada prosecutors.
      Attorney George Schneider said he was contemplating the move a day after a New Jersey Superior Court judge granted a delay in the start of Harris' trial in connection with a scheme to illegally win a $100,000 keno jackpot at an Atlantic City, N.J., casino.

Las Vegas job picture attracts new residents

Las Vegas' economy continued to turn in a strong performance in February.
      The metropolitan area, which includes Nye County, Laughlin and parts of northern Arizona, gained 50,700 new jobs during the 12 months ended in February -- a 9 percent gain in employment over the year, according to the Nevada Employment Security Division.
