Review-Journal Las Vegas police have released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a kidnapping and subsequent car accident that injured an infant early Monday. Las Vegas police Lt. Larry Spinosa said police are asking for the public's help in locating Bobby John- son, 32, of Las Vegas. Johnson is expected to be charged with kidnapping, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime and a variety of traffic-related charges when he is apprehended. Spinosa said police are seeking Johnson after a man kicked in the door of a 27-year-old woman's house in the 5200 block of Hagemann Lane at 2:15 a.m. The man forced the woman at knifepoint into his vehicle and started to flee the scene. As the suspect drove away, a Las Vegas police officer drove by the suspect's vehicle, causing the man to panic. At the same time the woman, fearing for her life, was fighting with the driver of the car.
The man lost control of the vehicle which subsequently crashed into a residence at 772 Betty Lane, near the intersection of Bonanza Road and Nellis Boulevard. The driver, who police have identified as Johnson, fled the scene on foot, Spinosa said. An 11-month-old boy, Joey Graham, and his mother, Lee Anne Graham, 33, were sleeping in the residence at the time of the accident. Joey Graham was thrown roughly 20 feet from his bassinet across the living room of the home, while his mother was pinned underneath the vehicle, Spinosa said. Lee Anne Graham suffered a broken foot and was treated and released from University Medical Center. Joey Graham was in good condition at the hospital with a head injury Tuesday afternoon, a nursing supervisor said. Johnson is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 229-3591, or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
