Arizona Charlie's will showcase the little guys in the main event of its monthly boxing card tonight.
Super flyweights Carlos Hernandez of Coachella, Calif., and Guadalupe Gastelum of Culiacan, Mexico, will meet in the scheduled 10-round main event.
The six-bout card is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Hernandez, 20, comes in with a 10-3 record. Gastelum is listed at 8-0-1 by Fight Fax Inc., the main boxing record keeper in the United States.
But Arizona Charlie's matchmaker Jimmy Montoya said Gastelum is actually 12-1-1, with five of his early fights not included by Fight Fax.
"He has the documentation to prove it," Montoya said. "Some of those fights in Mexico, I guess they don't count because they fight in little towns. A lot of times they don't have it recorded."
Gastelum had four fights last year, winning three times by first-round knockout to go with an eight-round draw.
"(Gastelum) is a very aggressive little fighter," Montoya said. "It is going to be a heck of a fight between two guys who come to fight. Neither one takes a step back."
Hernandez, who will be fighting in his first scheduled 10-rounder, is coming off a disputed eight-round decision loss to U.S. Olympian Eric Morel of Madison, Wis., on Sept. 10 at the Aladdin.
"Most definitely I thought I won the fight," Hernandez said. "A lot of people felt the same way. I guess the judges saw something different. I'll keep on moving and train harder."
Lee Espinosa, Hernandez's trainer-manager, describes his fighter as a brawler.
"He goes forward. He hits hard," Espinosa said. "He needs a little confidence and experience."
      The undercard:
Derrick James of Las Vegas vs. Paul Jones of Los Angeles, light heavyweights, six rounds.
Ya KiNi McKinney of Las Vegas vs. Fernando Zuniga of Los Angeles, middleweights, six rounds.
Lee Lark of San Diego vs. Joseph Ojomoh of Nigeria, heavyweights, four rounds.
Jamal Harris of Los Angeles vs. Danny Jevic of Los Angeles, super middleweights, four rounds.
Willie Stewart of Los Angeles vs. Danny Perez of Westminster, Calif., middleweights, four rounds.
