Alliance hires adviser to explore sale Alliance Gaming Corp., a maker of gaming machines and systems, hired Credit Suisse First Boston Corp. as financial adviser to explore the sale of its casino operations and the Louisiana route operation. In a statement, Alliance Gaming said it also hired New York-based Wasserstein Perella & Co. to explore the divestiture of its Nevada route operations. Alliance Gaming said it will use the proceeds from the proposed sales to reduce its bank debt. Also, the company said Morry Goldstein resigned as president, chief executive and director to join a nongaming company. The company named Robert Miodunski chief operating officer, a new position. Miodunski is president of the company's Nevada route operations. -- -- -- Nevada First Bank has added seven Las Vegas business leaders to its board of directors. New board members include: Tim Herbst, E.T.T. Inc. Investments; Lorenzo Fertitta, president, Fertitta Enterprises; private investor Sandy Mallin; Walters Group President Michael Luce; Maloof Cos. Chief Financial Officer Edward "Ned" Martin III; Agassi Enterprises President Perry Rogers; and attorney Frank Schreck Jr. They will join board members: Sunbelt Broadcasting Co. Chief Executive Officer James Rogers; Nevada Palace Chief Executive Officer William Wortman; Gastroenterology Center President Dipak Desai; Nevada First Bank President Dennis Guldin; Mark Fine & Associates President Mark Fine; Colliers International President James Stuart and R & R Partners Chief Financial Officer Jim King.
-- -- -- Newport Beach. Calif.-based Pacific Gulf Properties has acquired an industrial building in Las Vegas for $3.53 million. The company said the single-story, 80,000-square foot building is fully occupied. The property is in the center of Valley View Industrial Park, a Pacific Gulf industrial project. After the completion of the building acquisition, Pacific Gulf, a real estate investment trust, will own the entire park. -- -- -- Las Vegas-based Anonymous Data Corp. has named James Beecham president. The company also named Karen Cavallaro interim chief financial officer and Adeana Shendal director of shareholder relations and director of human resources. Anonymous Data Corp. makes Adcnet, a system linking computerized health data files to biometric identifiers to increase security of sensitive health records. Biometric identifiers are fingerprints, facial characteristics, voice characteristics and other traits used to identify people. -- -- -- Children's World Learning Centers is building a new child care center at 3085 Desert Marigold Lane in Summerlin, an area of western Las Vegas. The company said it expects to open the 9,272-square-foot center, able to accommodate 174 children, in January. -- -- -- Century 21 MoneyWorld has retained Swan+Logan Advertising as its advertising agency of record. Roger Blazic, Swan+Logan's account development director, will oversee the MoneyWorld account. -- -- -- The four Zuka Juice stores in Las Vegas have changed their name to Jamba Juice. The stores are at: 7450 W. Decatur Blvd.; 1500 N. Green Valley Parkway; 9002 W. Sahara Ave.; and 2255 N. Rampart Blvd. Jamba Juice, a San Francisco company, bought Salt Lake City-based Zuka Juice in March. The merger gives Jamba Juice 200 stores in nine states including Nevada.
