Brass band keeps sound alive with concert

The Las Vegas British Brass Band is keeping alive a classic form of music that began in England and dates back to the early 19th century. Established in 1994, the Las Vegas British Brass Band consists of a 25-member performance ensemble of local volunteer musicians who will be appearing in a live concert at 2 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Cost for the performance is $5 per person, and children are free.
From resounding brass band selections to original works, orchestral transcriptions and featured soloists to novelty items, marches, medleys, and hymn tune arrangements the Las Vegas British Brass Band creates a dynamic contrast with this live musical performance.
