Colorado State shuts down Air Force
Associated Press FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Colorado State used a couple of first-half scoring runs to break open the game and defeat Air Force 71-52 on Thursday. The Rams (13-8 overall, 3-4 MWC) went on an 8-0 run early in the first half, erasing a 10-8 Air Force lead and taking the lead for good. Colorado State scored 10 straight points to end the first half and take a 38-28 lead.
The Rams led led by as many as 26. Colorado State held Air Force (6-12, 2-4) to its lowest score in 14 games. -- Brigham Young 72, San Diego State 50 -- At San Diego, Terrell Lyday scored 12 points and keyed a late first-half surge to lead Brigham Young over San Diego State. Brigham Young (15-5, 4-3) went on a 21-5 run in the final eight minutes of the first half to turn a five-point deficit into a 37-26 lead.
