  •      Los Angeles radio personality Rick Dees is coming to the Las Vegas radio market.
Dees, carried on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, will be simulcast during morning drive on contemporary hits station KISS-FM, 101.9, beginning later this month. An exact start date has not been set.
"Rick Dees in the Morning" will be simulcast via satellite, but Las Vegans will have the chance to participate in any on-air contests, says Mike Ginsburg, market manager for the Clear Channel broadcasting company, which owns KISS-FM.
News and weather segments will be locally produced and inserted during the show.
Dees graduated from the University of North Carolina and worked at various radio stations around the country, including WBHQ in Memphis, where his record, "Disco Duck," went platinum in 1977.
Dees was hired for the morning drive slot at KIIS-FM in 1982, and has been a top-rated DJ in the Los Angeles market since. His syndicated countdown show, "Rick Dees Weekly Top 40," is broadcast to 50 million people in more than 70 countries.
