     William Adams
     
     
William E. "Bill" Adams, 75, died Saturday at a Las Vegas hospital.
      He was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Joplin, Mo. An Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a retired lobbyist for a gas company, a 42-year resident of Las Vegas, elder emeritus of First Christian Church, past board member of Nevada Federal Credit Union, and a member of National Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers.
      He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Alice Koontz; both of Las Vegas; son, Ross of San Diego; sister, Cecilia Luke of Joplin; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, 101 S. Rancho Drive. The family requests memorial donations be made to the church. Palm Mortuary-Jones handled arrangements.
     
     Elesa Anderson
     
     
Elesa Christy Anderson, 33, died Sunday.
      She was born Sept. 28, 1966, in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was a lifetime resident.
      She is survived by her daughter, Riegan Poulos; son, Jerod Poulos; mother, Melody Koury; father and stepmother, Pete Savalli and Jeanne Savalli; and sister, Rachael Savalli.
      Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.
     
     Nora Barnard
     
     
Nora "Roxy" Barnard, 62, died Saturday at a Las Vegas hospital.
      She was born July 15, 1937, in Kansas City, Mo. A senior accounts clerk in a bank, she was a 32-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Wilson of Erin, Tenn., and Charlette DiSciorio of Las Vegas; parents, H. Ellis and M. Ruth, both of Tacoma, Wash.; brother, Joseph Molzhon Jr. of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
      Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern with graveside services at 10 a.m. at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
     
     Alma Bernay
     
     
Alma Bernay, 80, died Monday at a Las Vegas hospital.
      She was born May 25, 1920, in Chicago. A retired secretary for a Jewish synagogue, she was an 11-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of sisterhood of Temple Ner Tamid.
      She is survived by her husband, Alan of Las Vegas; son, Cliff of Henderson; daughter, Ilene of Hollywood, Calif.; brother, Howard Gittleson of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.
      Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled arrangements.
     
     Leona Cherry
     
     
Leona E. Cherry, 67, died Friday in Olympia, Wash.
      She was born April 14, 1933, in Alex, Okla. An artist, she was a former 32-year resident of Las Vegas.
      Local immediate family survivors include her daughter, Karen Lasky of Las Vegas.
      Services will be held in Winlock, Wash., under the direction of Cattermole Funeral Home.
     
     Betty Cottom
     
     
Betty Elnora Cottom, 74, died Saturday.
      She was born April 5, 1926, in Curtis, Neb. An 11-year resident of Pahrump, she was a member of Hillsboro Community Church.
      She is survived by her husband, Vernon of Pahrump; son, James Hahn of Hillsboro, Ore.; stepdaughter, Mary Ellen Rapko of Palmdale, Calif.; stepson, Ronald of Glendora, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be scheduled. Pahrump Family Mortuary handled arrangements.
     
     Mary Doss
     
     
Mary Louise Jackson Doss, 90, died Thursday at home.
      Born in Sturgis, Miss., she was a homemaker, a resident of Las Vegas, a charter member of Sturgis Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star and Mississippi Federated Women's Club.
      She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bass of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
      Services will be held in Sturgis. Welch Funeral Home, Starkville, Miss., handled arrangements.
     
     Annabelle Estes
     
     
Annabelle L. Estes, 66, died Monday at a Henderson hospital.
      She was born July 3, 1933, in Kansas City, Mo. A retired assembler in electronics manufacturing, she was a 25-year resident of Henderson.
      She is survived by her sons, Garry of Henderson and Johnny of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; daughters, Gloria Chritchfield of Redding, Calif., and Roberta Lonjenez of Edgewood, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
      Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services at 10 a.m. Friday at Palm Mortuary-Henderson. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Park-Henderson.
     
     Donald Fisher
     
     
Donald L. Fisher, 71, died Sunday at a Las Vegas hospital.
      He was born Aug. 6, 1928, in Missouri. A retired maintenance worker for a cemetery, he was a resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his brother, Robert of New Mexico; and sister, Jane Davidson.
      Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until services at 2 p.m. Friday at Palm Mortuary-Jones.
     
     Rosario Garcia
     
     
Rosario Garcia, 78, died Sunday.
      She was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Trinidad, Colo. A homemaker, she was a resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her husband, Genovevo; daughter, Rosa Cruz; both of Las Vegas; sons, Daniel of Colorado, and Richard and Gil, both of New Mexico; brothers, Isidro Cruz and Jose Cruz, both of Mexico, Alejandro Cruz of California and Domingo Cruz of Las Vegas; sisters, Soledad Lopez of San Diego and Carmen Bernal of California; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
      Services will be at noon today at Holy Family Catholic Church followed by burial at Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home handled arrangements.
     
     Richard Gilman
     
     
Richard M. Gilman, 56, died Saturday.
      He was born Nov. 3, 1943, in California. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a three-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Paralyzed Veterans of America.
      He is survived by his daughter, Erica Wright of Henderson; stepson, Marc Cockerell of Abilene, Texas; brother, Robert; fiancee, Ajalynn Oram; both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
      Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled arrangements.

Memorial services for Barbara Gomez, who died Saturday, will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. The family requests memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society.
     
     Theodore Jacobs
     
     
Theodore R. "Ted" Jacobs, 72, died Thursday.
      He was born May 15, 1928, in Harrisburg, Ill. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was the owner of a vending business and a 35-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Millie of Las Vegas; son, Tony Meyer of Philadelphia; daughter, Frances Cabasso of Geneva; mother, Allene of Quanah, Texas; brother, John of Littlefield, Texas; sister, Marjorie Wilkerson of Abilene, Texas; and two grandchildren.
      Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Nathan Adelson Hospice. Burial will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to the hospice. American Burial & Cremation Services handled arrangements.
     
     Milton Kahn
     
     
Milton "Milt" Kahn, 71, died Monday.
      He was born Oct. 31, 1928, in South Africa. A retired used car dealer, he was a 24-year resident of Henderson and a member of Midbar Kodesh Temple.
      He is survived by his wife, Marion of Henderson; daughters, Dianne Schiller of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Glynda of Las Vegas; son, Steven of Santa Monica, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
      Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled arrangements.
     
     Howard Kennedy
     
     
Howard R. Kennedy, 93, died Sunday.
      He was born Feb. 4, 1907, in Wright County, Mo. A retired accountant for a dairy, he was a 10-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his wife, Harriet; daughter, Gay; both of Las Vegas; one grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne.
     
     Mal Gai Kim
     
     
Mal Gai Kim, 73, died Monday at a Las Vegas hospital.
      She was born July 4, 1926, in Tdegu, Korea. A homemaker, she was a seven-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Las Vegas Korean United Methodist Church.
      She is survived by her daughters, Kim Y. Bieganski Soon Duk Kim of Las Vegas, Kyung Ja Uribe of Yona, Guam, and Hee Sook Om of Atlanta; sons, Young Ho of Korea, Young Jo of Los Angeles and Young Sik of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
      Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Park-Northwest.
     
     Wilford Lambert Jr.
     
     
Wilford V. "Bubba" Lambert Jr., 42, died Sunday.
      He was born March 27, 1958, in Durango, Colo. A bartender, he was a 40-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Moose Lodge 252 and the Carpenters union.
      He is survived by his son, Dillon of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; daughters, Eva and Teryl; mother, Marie; brothers, Ken Fredrick and Chris; all of Las Vegas; and sisters, Sabra Bixlar of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Candace Newman of Las Vegas.
      Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sunrise Baptist Church followed by a reception at Club Diamond. Valley Memorial Cremation & Burial handled arrangements.
     
     Allen Meroniuk
     
     
Allen John "A.J." Meroniuk, 54, died Saturday in Eloy, Ariz.
      He was born May 27, 1946, in Edmonton, Alberta. A 42-year resident of Las Vegas, he was active in the telecommunications field.
      He is survived by his daughter, Jodee Ellis of Killeen, Texas; sister, Valire; fiancee, Susan Lander; both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

     John Mickelson
     
     
John Mickelson, 87, died May 22.
      He was born Aug. 3, 1912. A veteran of the armed services, he was a resident of Las Vegas.

     Elizabeth Palmer
     
     
Elizabeth "Beth" Palmer, 50, died Sunday.
      She was born Feb. 23, 1950, in Detroit. A retired cashier in gaming, she was a five-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Nega of Las Vegas; sisters, Karen Tuberville of Alvin, Texas, and Lisa Therrien of Garden City, Mich.; brother, Bernard of Alvin; and three grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today at Affordable Cremation & Burial Service.

Ted Joseph Pryor, 77, died Tuesday at a Las Vegas hospital.
      He was born Dec. 7, 1922, in Chickasha, Okla. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired doctor for the federal government, a 27-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Elks Lodge 1468.
      He is survived by his wife, Sharon Foley-Pryor of Las Vegas; daughter, Kristin Pryor-Cheriel of Seattle; son, Kirk of Elko; stepsons, Douglas Foley and Daniel Foley, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
      The family requests memorial donations be made to American Diabetes Association. Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne handled arrangements.
     
     Rita Riggs
     
     
Rita M. Riggs, 75, died Sunday at a North Las Vegas hospital.
      She was born Dec. 26, 1924, in Akron, Ohio. A retired sorter for the U.S. Postal Service, she was a 45-year resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her sons, Richard and John, both of Las Vegas; daughters, Sylvia Jones of Kimberly, Idaho, and Kathy DeBellis of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
      Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary-Downtown and one hour prior to services at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Christi Kell Ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Diabetes Association.

Richard Rodriquez, 43, died Sunday.
      He was born May 4, 1957, in New York. A computer technician, he was a resident of Laughlin.
      He is survived by his companion, Donna Stephens of Arizona; and mother, Naomi Lawrence of New Mexico.
      Burial will be in Bullhead City, Ariz. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Marie Antoinette Ronacher, 54, died Saturday.
      She was born Aug. 13, 1945, in New York. A retail sales clerk, she was a resident of Las Vegas.
      She is survived by her sister, Yvonne Sfogliano of Astoria. N.Y.

Joseph Leon Schnittman, 81, died Friday at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
      He was born March 9, 1919, in New York City. A retired Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a 35-year resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his sister, Matilda Levine of New York City.
      Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Affordable Cremation & Burial Service handled arrangements.
     
     Karin Scranton
     
     
Karin T. Scranton, 32, died Thursday at a North Las Vegas hospital.
      She was born May 15, 1968, in Nevada. A pharmacy technician, she was a lifetime resident.
      She is survived by her mother, Maureen; and brothers, John and Patrick.
      The family requests memorial donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society handled arrangements.

Marjorie McCorkle Stockton, 84, died Friday.
      She was born March 9, 1916, in Garden City, Mo. A retired saleswoman for a carpet company, she was a 16-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Eastern Star, and was active with the Rainbow Girls.
      She is survived by her son, Jerry McCorkle of Las Vegas; sisters, June Foos of Overland Park, Kan., and Betty Benton of Kansas City, Mo.; brother, T.F. Talbot of Salem, Ore.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church. Palm Mortuary-Jones handled arrangements.
     
     Thomas Turvey
     
     
Thomas Turvey, 76, died Sunday.
      He was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Ohio. A Navy veteran, he was a longtime resident of Las Vegas.
      He is survived by his sons, Jonathan and Steve, both of Las Vegas, Jeff of Arizona, Richard of Ohio and Brett of Texas; brother, Lloyd of Middletown, Ohio; sister, Doris Nansel of Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
      Burial is private. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.
     
     Thomas Zilly
     
     
Thomas "Tom" Zilly, 20, died Sunday.
      He was born Jan. 10, 1980, in Aurora, Ill. A counter person for an automobile dealership, he was an eight-year resident of Henderson.
      He is survived by his companion, Christina Arguello; daughter, Desirae; parents, Dave and Pat; and brother, David Jr.; all of Henderson; and grandparents, Mary Carey, Ken and Sonja, all of Aurora.
      Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern with services at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. The family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
