Trips, cars, popular promotions dot casino landscape

Via their November "Spin and Win" promotion, the Fiestas will award 544 players either cash (up to $200), a trip to Cabo San Lucas or complimentary meals. Beginning Sunday, Amigo Club members can get one entry for every 100 points earned on their cards (and the Amigo Club is one of the few clubs in town that awards points on almost every game in the casino). Every Friday and Saturday, beginning Nov. 8, both casinos will hold 6:15 and 8:15 p.m. drawings for a chance to spin the Crazy Cash Wheel to win cash or the trip to Cabo. At 8:30 those same evenings, the casinos will hold a special bonus "Rapid-Fire" drawing for food comps. Although winners must be present at the Crazy Cash Wheel drawings, they have until midnight on Friday to pick up any "Rapid Fire" rewards.

The Castaways popular "Card of the Day" video poker promotion is back, but only until Nov. 13. Anyone hitting a four-of-a-kind containing the card of the day (today it is aces, Saturday deuces, Sunday threes, etc.) gets a double-your- jackpot bonus up to 200 coins. All nickel through dollar machines qualify for this promotion. Note: The card-of-the-day bonus is on natural 4-of-a-kinds only, i.e. no wild cards; however, four deuces on a Deuces Wild machine count Saturday, and a 5-of-a-kind in the suit of the day containing one wild card qualifies on any day.

Boulder Station table game players can earn a chance to win a 2002 Mini Cooper via a drawing on Nov. 25. Entries can be earned all month long at blackjack, craps, Pai Gow Poker, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, Roulette and Mini Baccarat.

Texas Station is also running a special promotion for table game players. Through Nov. 28, blackjack players receive one drawing ticket with every natural or whenever the dealer gets a natural. Craps players receive one ticket every time an 11 is rolled on the come out roll. On Thursdays in November, the casino will hold drawings for logo jackets and $100 in free play.

Finally, Plaza players hitting a $200 or more jackpot on slots, video poker or at live keno in November also will win a special logo V-neck sweater. Remember, you must be using your No. 1 Main Club card to qualify -- and you must have your jackpot verified by machine personnel. All Plaza Bingo winners in all sessions in November get a free "Mini Canned Critter." Holy Elly May!
